The 30 Second Mystery 48 - Where?

There are four categories: Who, What, Where and Why. Some will be easy, some not. I have as many as six clues to help you along, which I'll supply as needed.

Please limit yourself to one guess, and another guess for each clue I supply. No questions asking for help or hints are allowed. Partially correct answers won't be acknowledged.

Wild guesses and comments are fine. In fact, they can add to the mystery and are fun to read.

Be precise when guessing. Giving too much information is as incorrect as not giving enough.

The Case:
Ben is easily recognizable. His home sits near water, but has been attacked by land many times. Ben entertains visitors, poses for pictures and goes about his business while under 24 hour protection by security guards.

The Mystery:
Where does Ben live and what does he do?

Ben lives in London and he tells time.

Peetster, when you announce that a puzzle is completed, could you also post the hints that were still remaining? I think it would be kind of cool.

yeah, it's big ben, london, telling time.

if we want to be precise, as per the rules, then the answer is:

Big ben, sounding the chimes. Big Ben is the bell, not the clock.

Where does Ben live and what does he do?
