TELL ME WHO THIS IS Game
Okay, easy game-
I will give a famous name and you must tell who it is. Must be at least a 5 word description. Can't be general, must be a specific, legit answer. Then you give another new famous name for the next poster to tell who it is. Have fun with it! First one: FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA |

FFC was born in 1939 in Detroit of all places, he is of Italian heritage as his name implies. This director brought to the screens cult classic epics such as Godfather and Apocalypse now and is considered in very high regard as a director of film.
Brilliant Director behind Apocalype Now. In recent times he has been criticised for lacking the vision he once had, this is highly subjective. Oh and one last thing, he alongside George Lucas produced Kagemusha for Akira Kurosawa. Which leads me to... AKIRA KUROSAWA Last edited by Mr.Deflok; 02-02-2004 at 10:52 PM.. |

Scottish-born writer whose stories satirize the Edwardian social scene, often in a macabre and cruel fashion. Munro's columns and short stories were published under the pen name 'Saki'. Saki's stories were full of witty epithets - such as "The cook was a good cook, as cooks go; and as cooks go she went." - and included coded references to homosexuality. After the outbreak of World War I, although officially over age, Munro volunteered in the army as an ordinary soldier. A snipers bullet killed him on November 14, 1916 in France, near Beaumont-Hamel. Munro was sheltering in a shell crater and his last words, according to several sources, were: "Put that damned cigarette out!" After his death his sister Ethel destroyed most of his papers and wrote her own account of their childhood.

Ieoh Ming Pei was born in Canton, China in 1917. He left China when he was eighteen to study architecture at MIT and Harvard. Between 1942 and 1945, he worked as a concrete designer for Stone and Webster, and in 1946 he began work in the office of Hugh Asher Stubbins, in Boston.
Pei worked as an instructor and then as an assistant professor at Harvard before he joined Webb & Knapp Inc. in New York in 1948. Pei worked as the head of the architectural division of Webb and Knapp, Inc. until 1960, when he resigned and founded his own architectural office, I. M. Pei & Partners, New York, which in 1979 became Pei, Cobb, Free & Partners. Due to his reliance on abstract form and materials such as stone, concrete, glass, and steel, Pei has been considered a disciple of Walter Gropius. However, Pei shows little concern with theory. He does not believe that architecture must find forms to express the times or that it should remain isolated from commercial forces. Pei generally designs sophisticated glass clad buildings loosely related to the high-tech movement. However, many of his designs result from original design concepts. He frequently works on a large scale and is renowned for his sharp, geometric designs. Who is ...

Guitarist, songwriter
Born: January 6, 1946 in Cambridge, England School/education: Morley Memorial Junior School, Cambridge High School For Boys, Camberwell Art School Guitarist, singer, songwriter and cofounder of Pink Floyd in 1965. contributed to the first two Pink Floyd albums and the early singles before he was replaced by David Gilmour in 1968. He was left out because of a growing insanity probably due to drug abuse and the pressure of fame. After Pink Floyd he had a short-lived solo career but is still regarded a true genius of music by many fans. Musicians like Brian Eno, David Bowie and others have several times tried to help Syd Barrett back on his feet. A Best of Syd Barrett compilation was released in April 2001. Next up: Carroll Spinney
