The 30 Second Mystery 31 - What?
 

There are four categories: Who, What, Where and Why. Some will be easy, some not. I have as many as six clues to help you along, which I'll supply as needed.

Please limit yourself to one guess, and another guess for each clue I supply. No questions asking for help or hints are allowed. Partially correct answers won't be acknowledged.

Wild guesses and comments are fine. In fact, they can add to the mystery and are fun to read.

The Case:
A masked man is attacked by a gang who shoot at him, then quicly flee. The man survives the attack, but the gang returns again and again until they finally stop. The masked man moves to a new location, but the gang continues after him. The next night, a different gang attacks him.

The Mystery:
What is the masked man's profession?

I have to wonder what they are shooting at the masked man... thats probably where the trick lies.

Perhaps the man is either a superhero or a movie start playing a superhero...

The geek in a "Shoot the Geek" paintball booth at a travelling carnival?

A figure in Hogan's Alley - the police firing range where images pop in and out of windows and doorways for the police to practice their skills.

Beekeeper?

Clue: The man is protecting his turf.
