The 30 Second Mystery 29 - What?
 

There are four categories: Who, What, Where and Why. Some will be easy, some not. I have as many as six clues to help you along, which I'll supply as needed.

Please limit yourself to one guess, and another guess for each clue I supply. No questions asking for help or hints are allowed. Partially correct answers won't be acknowledged.

Wild guesses and comments are fine. In fact, they can add to the mystery and are fun to read.

The Case:
During the invention of the printing press, a man publishes a book that many people already own. The book becomes an instant bestseller.

The Mystery:
That is the book's title and what century did the man publish it?

I think I know the title, but I don't know the century.

the bible and i have no idea

The year was 1454 (and high_way is right, it was a version of the Bible)

Technically I asked the century, not the year, but even I'm not that much of a hard-ass.
