The 30 Second Mystery 13 - Who?
 

There are four categories: Who, What, Where and Why. Some will be easy, some not. I have as many as six clues to help you along, which I'll supply as needed.

Please limit yourself to one guess, and another guess for each clue I supply. No questions allowed. Partially correct answers won't be acknowledged.

Wild guesses are fine. In fact, they can add to the mystery and are fun to read.

You guys are pretty freaking smart. Let's see how this goes.

The Case:
One day in the late 1930s, a skillful professional goes to work and never returns home. There is no sign of foul play.

The Mystery:
What is this person's name and profession?

FDR, President of the United States?

Edit: D'oh, "late 30's"... Will read more closely next time.

Lou Gherig, Baseball player?

Clue: Authorities conducted a thorough search, but never found the person.

jimmy hoffa?
teamster union head?

Amelia Earhart, pilot?

This is by far the hardest yet :)

Haha.. rats.. you beat me by like 3 seconds I think..

It gets easier after a few clues, but you guys usually nail it before then.
