I don't know anything about Macs. Sorry.

What I did was take a screenshot by pushing the ctrl+alt+printscreen buttons.
It saves it to the clipboard.
You need to open a photo editor, like MSPaint, and paste it there, make any edits to it, then save it to your harddrive.
From there, you can upload it to a free photo-hosting site like http://www.photobucket.com/ and link it to here.

You'll probably need another Mac user to help you with any variations. :)

K-wise:
command(apple key)+shift+3
look for the "picture" on your harddrive.
drag that picture to photoshop (or whatever photo editing app you have) to crop & re-size.
the rest is just like freman said.
