I took pictures on a roll of slide film. I used a Polaroid DayLab to make prints, but instead of letting the polaroid develop all the way, I took it apart and transfered it onto a piece of watercolour paper. This particular image is a double negative. I took a picture of a Cherry Coke can and a picture of a hat on a wood block and sandwiched them together and made the print. The reason you get that weird colours kind of border is because of the chemicals.

Anything you can do with chemicals you can do digitally. Chemical processing is becoming a thing of the past... they only do that for films nowdays because its faster. But digital processing is becoming faster, while chemicals will always require the same amount of time and work.

Of course, it has to be about 720dpi. You know, because chemicals got the advantage of having an unlimited resolutio. Let's make it fair.

C'mon Four Fingers, do you read your own posts?

I've seen hundreds of side by side comparisons with digital and film, and many are way too close to call, but have yet seen anything remotely resembling a well made Polaroid transfer.

Nice job sd, but probably belongs in either the photo or artwork thread

paddy joe, I don't see the problem. Studios can scan negatives in any resolution they want. Digital Cameras often have a sharper resolution than the one in old cameras.

I was merely asking sd to make it a fair game by providing me with a high-resolution digital version of the negative. This shouldn't be of any trouble for him. Don't you agree?

i like 'em. Had some fun a few years ago with double exposures - took a pic of something, then took another pic over it of the inside of my woodstove. Have lots of pictures of people with their heads on fire.
