Tilted Taste
Since we have a thread covering smells, how about a thread considering our tastebuds? What are some of your favorite tastes that may seem a bit odd or strange.
Personally, I love the taste of pickle juice. I drink it straight, even. Another one high up there is bananas and Cheetos. Don't ask me why, but they just taste good together.

i actually like the taste of cigarette kisses. i love getting a nice wet one from my baby after she sucks down a cancer stick. pot stems, love em' on a side note, i think its neat when things taste like how other things smell. vodka, for example....taste like how rubbing alcohol smells. (not a good example, but whatever)

Talk about pickle juice, I occasionally get a taste for pickled beets...like this past Sat. I ate a whole jar and then drank the juice. Yummy...and don't be surprised when your piss looks like you've been with somebody maybe you shouldn't have.
more good tastes to follow as I get inspired by this new thread |

Jalapeno pickles.
Kosher dills, garlic dills, minis.... mmmm... any kind of dill-type pickle. After something sweet. I can't have sweet be the last taste in my mouth. It weirds me out. I love ketchup on my eggs and my grilled cheese sammiches. And pickles IN the cheese on my grilled cheese sammiches. Frangelico over vanilla ice cream... when I could eat ice cream. I'll keep thinking.

Salted grapefruit - I love it, my dad loves it, some people on chowhound love it, penn state tells us it should taste sweeter since sweet and salty sensations are both sensed at the tip of the tongue - But no one I have ever discussed it with wants to try it.

ok, another taste I love that only seems a bit odd because most people I know don't like them at all...those gorgeous, luscious, wonderful, little green brussels sprouts, mon petit chou! I cut them into halves or quarters depending on size, steam them to my preferred softness, heat up a frying pan of good olive oil very hot, dump the little chous in there, stir and watch when they start showing signs of crisping at the leaf edges which will indicate when they are carmelizing, add salt & pepper to taste. I can eat this all by itself for dinner, or maybe with a nice piece of ripe soft brie and crusty bread...heaven is green.
