Need name for bunny

My cousin Caroline has just received a bunny for her 5th birthday. For some reason, she wants me to name it, since I'm apparently good at naming things. It's male, brown with white paws and floppy ears. Here's what I've got so far:

- Edward (my all time favorite pet name)
- Swizzle stick (mostly fun for me since it's blast watching her trying to pronounce it. Yes, I'm evil.)
- Commander Bon-Bon (name the TV show I got this from and win a cookie)
- Brownie (kinda pedestrian, but still...)
- Chaussette (French for sock, but may be too girly)
- Bundy (after the "Married with Children character, not the mass murderer)

Please, share your bunny names with me. If Caroline chooses yours, you'll have the distinction of being responsible for a little girl's happiness.

Awwwww.

Thank you.

Karby 06-21-2003 09:51 PM

how about...Pat?

Somenosuke 06-21-2003 09:58 PM

Bunnicula! or BunRab!

Or:

Usagi
Kisungura
Kani

or other normal names like:
Max
Sam
Milo

or sillier names like:
Peanut
Czar
Cuddles.. more suggestions to come..

sadistikdreams 06-21-2003 10:07 PM

um. NAME FOR BUNNY:Pathetic fourlegged creature with expansive fur.

How about "Maggie"?

Thraeryn 06-21-2003 10:25 PM

Pig, or Monkey. "This is my bunny rabbit, Pig(Monkey)."

Minx 06-22-2003 12:22 AM

Thumper is the best name happening for a bunny.

I lived with a striper named Thumper once but that's a different story altogether! :)

Midlandmadman 06-22-2003 04:06 AM

how about " fluffzilla, ninja bunny of death! "

or

Mr.Floppy

uncle phil 06-22-2003 04:59 AM

trix...

Peetster 06-22-2003 05:09 AM

Hasenpfeffer

Fly 06-22-2003 05:48 AM

i'd call the bunny "stew" myself.

short for stewart right.

hehe

SexyCat 06-22-2003 06:06 AM

I think that all rabbits should be named Nibbles, but that is just me. Rabbits are kinda scary anyways, they bite and don't do much else.

Bob Biter 06-22-2003 07:12 AM

Hmm... so far, Bunnicula, Mr. Floppy and Fluffzilla have gotten favorable nods from Caroline.

I love Hasenpfeffer, 'cuz she has a hard time pronouncing that one, too, like Swizzle Stick.

I'd suggest "Fluffer," but my aunt might wonder where that came from.

KWSN 06-22-2003 07:30 AM

Milton Waddams.

I have ALWAYS wanted to have a pet so I could name it Milton Waddams. Well... ever since the movie came out.

That would be a great name for a bunny, too.

Another great name: TROGDOR the FLUFFINATOR.

Yeah.

cheezhead 06-22-2003 09:15 AM

Chompers,is our bunny's name. He got the name cause he luves to chew on electric cords. He even bit into my DSL line, cost me $75 to get a new one. He likes Sony paddle cords too.

Midlandmadman 06-22-2003 10:06 AM

Oh wait.......... how about MR. Pellets cause thats what she is gonna be cleaning up . Or how about CUJO!

anleja 06-22-2003 12:57 PM

How about Bumbo the Bunny? That is what I name all my bunnies.

Shokan 06-22-2003 01:02 PM

alpha phi 06-22-2003 01:37 PM

when I was a kid we had lots of rabbits!
The pets were: fluffy, and puppy.
then there was mama bunny, and papa bunny.
all the rest never had names..........well.....except dinner

you're little cousin's bunny strikes me as a teddy, or maybe a jim!

MacGnG 06-22-2003 02:37 PM

our bunny was named Scamps.

TerresqueÜ 06-22-2003 02:59 PM

Fatty! (with the exclamation point)

Tenshi Koneko (angel kitten in Japanese)

Cookie (yum)

Danzig (heavy metal dude)

And BTW that Commander Bon-Bon is from Drew Carey I think.

paddyjoe 06-22-2003 03:17 PM

I've always been partial to Larry.

Nice one, TerresqueU, you win a cookie! :D

My cousin has just suggested Jim Bob and Flufflelopagus (which she pronounces "Fufflopagos", which I find odd... I didn't know she appreciated Greek culture that much.

Keep'em coming!

crackpot 06-22-2003 09:23 PM

Hey Bob. I didn't put too much thought into it, but here goes:
George.
Dudley.
Poopster.
Dr. Fluff 'n stuff.
Captain.
Captain Kooky.
Wicky-wocky.
Paul.
Randy.

vermin 06-22-2003 09:33 PM

When I was a small child I had a pet rabbit named Daisy.

Or maybe Hazel (from Watership Down)

bundy 06-22-2003 09:36 PM

mixy
(short for myxomatosis)

*great read man*

how about lucky......

that way you won't be tempted to maybe call him "stew" one day.

short for stewart right.

Bob Biter 06-25-2003 04:46 AM

Well, it's settled. My cousin Caroline has chosen to name her new bunny "Brownie", despite my vehement suggestion of much better names. *sigh* I suspect intervention from her mother.

Thanks for the great ideas everyone!

TerresqueU, you have won a chewy double chocolate chip cookie (6'' in diameter), baked by my aunt, for your correct guess of Commander Bon-Bon's origins.

Loup 06-25-2003 05:00 AM

I would have called him Rover, but that's me:

TigOlBittys 06-25-2003 06:10 AM

You could name it:

acetylseryltyrosylserylisoleucylthreonylserylprolylserylglutaminylphenylalanylvalylphenylalanylleucylserylserylvalyltryptophylalanylaspartylprolylisoleucylglutamylleucylleucylasparaginylvalylcysteinylthreonylserylserylleucylglycylasparaginylglutaminylphenylalanylglutaminylthreonylglutaminylglutaminylalanylarginylthreonylthreonylglutaminylvalylglutaminylglutaminylphenylalanylserylglutaminylvalyltryptophyllysylprolylphenylalanylprolylglutaminylserylthreonylvalylarginylphenylalanylprolylglycylaspartylvalyltyrosyllysylvalyltyrosylarginyltyrosylasparaginylalanylvalylleucylaspartylprolylleucylisoleucylthreonylalanylleucylleucylglycylthreonylphenylalanylaspartylthreonylarginylasparaginylarginylisoleucylisoleucylglutamylvalylglutamylasparaginylglutaminylglutaminylserylprolylthreonylthreonylalanylglutamylthreonylleucylaspartylalanylthreonylarginylarginylvalylaspartylaspartylalanylthreonylvalylalanylisoleucylarginylserylalanylasparaginylisoleucylasparaginylleucylvalylasparaginylglutamylleucylvalylarginylglycylthreonylglycylleucyltyrosylasparaginylglutaminylasparaginylthreonylphenylalanylglutamylserylmethionylserylglycylleucylvalyltryptophylthreonylserylalanylprolylalanylserine

And how is that pronounced? :D

denim 06-25-2003 08:33 AM

I'd have suggested "Eric", from Monty Python's "Cat License" skit.

"Are all your pets named 'Eric'?"

qpid 06-25-2003 08:43 AM

Frank (Donnie Darko ref)
Bugs (cartoon ref)
Bun-Bun (Sluggy ref)
Tux
Lain
Rei
Akira
Flipples
