I heard that the cost of oil would have to be over $100 USD per barrel to equal the cost of the energy crisis days of the '70's --- allowing for inflationary adjustments of course.

Incidently, I recall the canadian dollar being around $1.09 US back in those days. At least that was the exchange posted on the counter at McD's when I worked there in '74.

Canadian dollar was up at 1.06USD yesterday.

What do you think the upper limit will be?

Being an Indian, I'm glad the dollar is dipping. This means that the exchange rate is in my favour. A few years back, it was around 55 rupees to a dollar, now, it's come down to around 43 or so.
