Favorite late night snack

So, your up late watching TV, on the puter, or maybe even studying, and you get that familiar rumble in the stomach.

What is it that you go for?

I just made a sliced pepperoni sandwich on white bread, topped with a fried hot pepper, a fresh cut up garden tomato with salt and pepper, a handful of potato chips and a tall glass of decaf ice tea. Yumm!

sakvee 08-31-2003 07:05 PM

Probably some potatoe chips and a coke, tad boring, but hey it works.

anti fishstick 08-31-2003 07:06 PM

GOLDFISH!

jizzmasterp 08-31-2003 07:13 PM

Toast spread with peanut butter and a glass of milk.

mrquackers 08-31-2003 07:14 PM

Cold pizza, if it's available. Otherwise, PB&J

Mr. Spacemonkey 08-31-2003 07:21 PM

Usually, i'll just get out some chips and something to drink, maybe a coke, and that's enough for me.

Exodus 08-31-2003 10:40 PM

Chips and a Coke work for me as well. Occasionally milk and cookies too... just for the sugar content. If I need to stay up... Rock Star and Mountain Dew mixed 50/50.. talk about some powerful stuff.

Double D 08-31-2003 11:58 PM

Blue Tortilla Chips & Light sour cream

IC3 09-01-2003 12:02 AM

Chips & pop...Nothing special here.

dimbulb 09-01-2003 07:10 AM

cereal and milk. hmmm... come to think of it, thats practically the only time i eat cereal.....

sambocom 09-01-2003 11:41 AM

i agree with dimbulb and jerry seinfeld, cereal is the best snack anytime.

Plan9Senior 09-01-2003 01:25 PM

Popcorn and a coke MmmMmm. On days that I am feeling too health conscious I will snack on a celery stalk with peanut butter on top.

seizei 09-10-2003 10:06 AM

salami wrapped around breadsticks is always yummy.

Ripsaw 09-10-2003 02:05 PM

Any kind of bread with some tomato sauce and a bit of shredded cheese on top. Pop that into the toaster until melted and bubbly.

Fremen 09-10-2003 07:54 PM

I like to eat Graham crackers dipped in ice-cold milk.

gonadman 09-10-2003 09:00 PM

I can't believe Ramon Noodles was not mentioned yet

Mad_Gecko 09-12-2003 12:38 PM

Toast rocks.. EZ, QK, and TST!
Usuallly late at night when I'm pissed!

If I'm sober I usually try to eat fruit, quick suger rush without the guilt.

stldickie 09-12-2003 01:20 PM

cookies-chocolate chip

kipperoo3 09-14-2003 10:27 AM

Cold pizza is my favorite, although peanut butter on toast seems to do the trick too!

cowlick 09-17-2003 09:03 AM

Yogurt with peanut butter, fresh plums, and flake cereal

crackpot 09-18-2003 06:00 PM

Either chocolate chip cookies and orange juice (mmm, so good dunking...) or samosas (2 for a buck 'round the corner; I stock up sometimes) and chocolate milk or Ovaltine.

Jolt 09-21-2003 07:06 PM

For a long time I'd hit the jar of peanut butter almost every night...put some on crackers, bread, corn chips, just a spoon, whatever. I was going through a jar a week.

I realized pb was one of the things I ate that I needed to cut down the most...protein and fiber are good but there's twice as much fat as those combined.

I lost 25 pounds this year just by drinking less soda, and eating way less peanut butter and a few other things, and by eating much less at night. If I do want something late now, it's usually cereal (grain types...haven't bought sugar cereal in ages) or popcorn. Orville has been kind to me: nearly fat-free microwave popcorn in the small bags were at Big Lots a while back so I stocked right up.

koli70 09-21-2003 11:53 PM

Since we don't have anything u can really take out and just eat and no microwave I go for pickles. The big juicy ones. Delicious and nutritious.

dylanmarsh 10-02-2003 07:17 PM

Lime Tostitos Corn Chips or English Muffins.

whisky and pizza rolls!

Rubyee 10-10-2003 06:41 PM

I love bomb pops. They are not filling, but damn they are good. A late night snack for me usually consists of iced java and cheetos.

hansthemolemann 10-10-2003 09:54 PM

microwave popcorn or toast with peanut butter, I usually have club soda too

Plaid13 10-13-2003 12:56 AM

Cock sauce.. ..

Sriracha is made from sun ripen chilies which are ground into a smooth paste along with garlic and packaged in a convenient squeeze bottle. It is excellent in soups, sauces, pastas, pizzas, hot dogs, hamburgers, chowmein or on anything else to give it a delicious, spicy taste. Like all our sauces, we use only the highest quality ingredients and never any artificial colors or flavorings.
Delicious on everything, and cheap too.

edit: My late night snack. Anything thats in the fridge that looks unspoiled is my treat.

ghezzo 10-17-2003 08:09 PM

taco bell

anthro101 10-18-2003 04:13 PM

bread with something...butter cinnamon and suger, or PB, jelly....or even a flour tortilla with some butter and jelly. Quesadilla's and grilled cheese sandwiches are always good...oh and of course Coke =)

SiN 10-18-2003 04:29 PM

now that it's the season...

tangerines.

addicted. :)

(i don't like to eat anything heavy/filling at nite..)

Baldrick 10-18-2003 04:32 PM

Cottage Cheese and WASA crackers. Sometimes I'll have a couple slices of aged cheddar with it.

Nice, now I'm hungry...

mml 10-20-2003 12:17 PM

Cold pizza is my favorite, but not always around. Cheeze-Itz are almost always in the pantry, so they are the usually victim. Last night I took a tortilla, a couple of slices of turkey, couple of slices of pepper jack cheese and taco sauce (I used Macayo brand), rolled it up, nuked it for about 30 seconds and it was GREAT!

Dibbler 10-20-2003 06:00 PM

If you're like everyone else and have been drinking a little it's TACO BELL! Also doesn't matter what you get there cuz it all tastes the same.

Rodney 10-20-2003 10:25 PM

Skirt steak on a franchese roll. Skirt steak cut thin fries up in about 90 seconds. Kinda makes the microwave irrelevant, if you don't mind working your jaws a little. If you've got an extra two minutes, slice up some mushrooms or onion and sautee them first. Serve in or alongside the sandwich.

yster 10-22-2003 07:27 PM

reddi-wip from the can, sprayed directly in my mouth.
mmmmm....
and whatever highly caffienated soda is around.
