Toppings on your vanilla ice cream?
 

I like Maple Syrup (the real stuff) and graham cracker bits

I had it with maple syrup once. Delicious.

I keep hearing that certain desert wines go well with Ice cream... anyone tried this?

pour caramel in empty bowl
add icecream
pour more caramel

theres a cuban restaurant down here that takes vanilla icecream, rolls it into a ball, rolls it in corn flakes and then fries it. It's sooooooooooooooooooo good. I think theres parts to it I dont know but man its soo *drool*

spoon it over your favorite pussy... add strawberries, whipped cream... I don't think it get's any better than that!

some hot fudge and crumbled oreos

1. whole salted almonds and hot fudge
2. bananas and strawberries
3. brown sugar
4. cinamon sugar
5. peanut butter pretzels from trader joes
6. maple syrup

all good.

I like to pour in a cup of milk (making it softer)
some chocolate sauce
a 1/4 bowl of strawberries

then stir it all together.

Sometimes I'll add a broken up waffle cone or soemthing to that effect...

I like caramel and M&M's...bananas are also good.

Pepper. Black or white. My wife turned me onto it. Sprinkle some on top, it really adds something to vanilla ice cream.

I don't like a whole lot of toppings on my ice cream, but I like to put a bunch of sprinkles on my ice cream.

Some I should have thought of (maple syrup) and some I never would have (pepper)...but I'm definitely going to try both of those!

I guess I'm kinda timid, cause I like mine neat.

I like caramel and peanut butter sauce.... or hot peanut butter sauce and hot fudge, then its like a Reeses cup.... mmmmm so yummy!

Jonnymax - yes, I have tried it - I don't remember the name of it now, it was a while back, but it was a raspberry dessert wine - it was wonderful. Any of the Godiva liqueurs are excellent as well.

I like my vanilla plain generally, but will top it with caramel on occasion.

I like plain old chocolate sauce on mine :)

Ol fashion sprinkles do the trick for me.

A lot of Tex-Mex restaurants do this. They call it "Fried Ice Cream". Basically, they roll it in corn flakes or something similar, flash fry it and re-freeze it. I've seen it served on a pineapple ring to keep it from rolling and I've had whip cream or chocolate or other things put on top. It is REALLY good if you ever see it on a menu!:crazy:

Well, I'm back having tried it. I was very supprised at the results. I put some pepper on, and was supprised that I couldn't taste it at all, so I put on some more, and the pepper flavor was still drowned out very effectively by the vanilla, so I put on _a whole lot more_. In the end I would say its not bad, definitly makes it more interesting, but its not something I would do every day either.

Saute a split ripe banana in butter until the banana starts to turn translucent. Add some brown sugar, a dash of booze of your choice (I like brandy) and a few drops of pure vanilla extract and dump on a pile of vanilla ice cream.
It's quite easy and it tastes fantastic.

hot fudge, caramel, melted penut butter can be good.... ooooh marshmellow topping from dewarz yum! and nutz!!! oooh im hungry!

it is a key-lime / habanero dessert hot sauce. VERY GOOD

I'm all about the M&Ms and some sprinkles...yummy!!
