Easy recipie with hamburger?

Okay, I want to make a nice dinner for my girlfriend tonight, and she said she wanted to use the pound of hamburger we have in the freezer.

Here's what else we have.

Asparagus, green, yellow and orange peppers, green beans, potatoes, tomato sauce, spices, tortilla shells, cheese, sour cream, salsa, various other sauces (teriyaki, soya sauce), corn, spaghetti noodles, macaronni noodles, shake and bake, lettuce, carrots, mushrooms.

I have no idea. I was thinking maybe some kind of casserole, or some mashed potatoes topped with the mixture, or.. oh i have no idea.

I can do fajitas, but I want to get creative, do something nice. But I'm not the best cook, so easier is better.

Thanks guys!

Probably better in the Food subforum, but I'd suggest tacos or spaghetti. Both simple yet tasty, and can be done with your ingredients.

Ahhhhh college meals. In other words, what can I cook with the random shit in my house. Fun meals were made out of those things.

College meal suggestion:

If cheese is anything but American.

Baked Mac and Cheese w/ Meat

Cook hamburger meat. Drain, set aside.

Cook macaroni noodles in salty water. Drain, throw cold water on them. Set aside.

Dice peppers (all different kinds) and mushrooms. Sauté they them till they are soft (I like mine slightly firm).

Melt the cheese (hopefully Cheddar cheese). Mix in meat, noodles, and peppers and mushrooms.

Get a casserole dish (or a deep pan) and pour all of this mix into it. Bake @ 350 til golden brown on top. Cut, serve, NOM NOM NOM. Salsa can be added to the mix too to give it a spicier flavour before baking.

*****

Loaded Potatoes.

Preheat oven to 350.

(If you live in the south) Brush bacon grease on the potatoes and sprinkle with kosher salt. (Emit this step if not in the south)

Cook hamburger meat. Drain, set aside.

Dice peppers, mushrooms, and set aside.

When the potatoes are almost done (you can tell this by poking them with a knife, if the knife slides into the pots easily, then they are done) cut open potatoes and add meat, peppers, mushrooms, salsa and cheese. Put back into the oven and cook till cheese is golden.

Serve with butter, SC, and more cheese.

NOM NOM NOM.
