Moka Coffee

Hey

So I've got a Moka pot and I've been making coffee in it for a while.

I'm getting bored of the same old stuff, so I'm looking for tasty variations on the same ol thing.

Usually I brew up a full pot and water it down with boiling water (though I do drink just straight espresso sometimes).

I found a recipe for some weird variation of a cappuccino but I lost it. It had something to do with pouring the first sprouts of coffee into some sugar and whipping it until it was frothy and adding it into the rest of the coffee.

I've tried adding vanilla extract (don't do it!) to the coffee, some ground nutmeg into the coffee grounds (not too bad), and some mint leaves in the upper portion (don't waste the money), but I haven't found that one delicious cup of coffee.

What do you do with your Moka brewed coffee?

EDIT: Found the wierd variation of cappuccino. http://www.ineedcoffee.com/06/moka/

I don't do anything fancy with mine...which I use almost exclusively to make coffee.

The key is getting the best and strongest coffee you can find (although it does work with just regular grounds as well).

I heat my milk in the microwave and then add sugar and whisk with an aerolatte. Then I pour the coffee into the glass.

I have also used hot chocolate as the base and added the coffee (don't add any additional sugar as the hot chocolate is typically sweet enough).

Hmmm, I have found a good addition to Moka coffee.... coconut milk. Probably be really good whipped up with that Aerolatte too!

I finally bought one a few days back.

I seem to be having trouble perfecting the art of aeroatte.

The first time I think I over heated my milk (coconut milk because I'm on a specific diet) and killed the ability to whip it up.

This morning I don't know WHAT happened just didn't do it.

This afternoon I just went ahead and added my coffee to my water and milk and whipped it. Got SOME froth but nothing like on the package.

Any ideas? Is it the fact that I'm using coconut milk and not regular milk?
