Asian Drinks
I'm looking for Asian Alcoholic drink recipes, preferably that use something particularly Asian, and won't be too expensive. Example:
Green Tea Tokyo INGREDIENTS: * 2 oz white rum * 1 tbsp honey * 5 sprigs of mint * 2 tbsp sugar syrup * 6 oz hot green tea +5 for cheapness +3 if it can be prepared in large quantities (for 10+ people) +2 if it can be prepared ahead of time |
Sakitini
3 oz Vodka 1/4 oz Saki Cucumber slice Add vodka and saki to a cocktail shaker, stir, strain into martini glass, garnish with cucumber slice. This recipe yields 1 martini As with any martini recipe, this can be made by the pitcher, adjusting the recipe for how many drinks you want to make at a time. ********** Mt. Fujiyaki 4 oz Saki 4 oz Mountain Dew Pour into a tall glass over ice. ********** Haiku Martini 2 oz Saki 1 dash dry Vermouth Pour into a shaker with ice, stir well to chill, strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a cocktail onion. ********** Tokyo Rose 1 part Vodka 1 part Sake 1 part Midori melon liqueur Mix in a mixing glass with ice. Shake well. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a cherry. *********** Hokkaido Cocktail 1 1/2 oz Gin 1/2 oz Triple sec 1 oz Sake Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a martini glass, and serve. *********** Green Tea Potionb 1 ½ oz Vodka ½ oz unfiltered premium sake 1 oz green tea shake all ingredients and strain into a chilled martini glass ************ Zen Breeze 1 part vodka 1 parts white cranberry juice (can use regular) 1 part green tea Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into an ice-filled tall glass. Garnish with mint sprig. ************* Green Tea (not exactly containing something Asian, but mixes to taste like tea 1 1/2 oz herbal liqueur (chartreuse,strega,izarra...) 1 oz sweet and sour mix cola Mix chartreuse and sour mix on top of ice in a collins glass. Fill with coca-cola (or pepsi) and, if you like, garnish with a lemon or lime slice. ******************************************** That's all of the recipes I've got in my trusty recipe journal for drinks with Asian ingredients/themes.... I don't get much call for any of these, except for the Sakitini briefly several years ago, so I'm not sure what they all taste like. |
The Bush Gardens downtown in Portland has a wasabi bloody mary that's pretty damn good. Reminds me of sushi, so I guess thats asian.
