Ok, the Dwight Yoakam one would fit better here than in the other thread, since he's a musician and not an actor (although he has been in movies, most notably Sling Blade).

Don't forget Meatloaf as "Tiny" in Wayne's World. He was the bouncer that told Wayne and Garth about the bands at the club, one of which was the "Shitty Beatles."
I'm not really a fan of Shania Twain, but her cameo in I Heart Huckabees was very funny too.

Some really good ones above: Cooper, Idol, and Jeff Healy was great and the Johnny Cash.... one of the greatest Columbo movies ever.
Mine would be Ray Davies in "Absolute Beginners", he made the movie for me. As for TV shows has to be Willie Nelson on MONK...... lol..... one of the greatest scenes in TV or movies..... MONK whistling because someone else's lips touched his clarinet..... priceless and hysterical the way Willie reacts.

Johnny Cash wasn't in a cameo role... that's what you call a lead or a starring role (though I'm sure it was credited as "guest star".
I agree though. It was probably one of the best Colombos ever... definately in the top 5.
