Raising Arizona
Fiddler on the Roof Shawshank Redemption |
Just to save the space that quoting ALL of those fabulous movies would take up I'm going to agree with them all and then add mine:
Spaceballs! And pretty much every other Mel Brooks film, they always leave me rolling. |
hands down...breakin 2 electric boogaloo.
|
Glory
Godfather I & II Wizard of Oz Most 007 flicks Every Coen Bros. movie Dr. Zhivago I know for a fact there are more, but too tired to think of em now. |
Movies that I not only never get tired of, but almost have a compulsion to sit and watch them no matter which point they're at.
Oceans 11 The Princess Diaries (So help me, I cannot explain this) Office Space Best In Show The Big Lebowski The Whole Nine Yards |
Liar Liar is another one for me...I know this movie inside and out...word for word, practically.

But in addition to those: Saving Private Ryan Saving Silverman (coincidence? :p ) Collateral Bill&Teds Excellent Adventure/Bogus Journey The Big Lebowski |
I love so many bad movies... but some great ones too:
The Princess Bride Dirty Dancing (you know you love it) Silver Bullet Die Hard (any) Speed (yes really) Most stupid Sandra Bullock movies Any Indiana Jones Office Space (of course) Star Wars (any, they’re just classics) Disney movies when they didn’t suck: Beauty and the Beast Little Mermaid Toy Story (I and II) A Bug’s Life The Incredibles Etc. Shrek And lots of other things I can’t admit to in public. :D |

Office Space, such a classic movie. I love it.
|
2 that I keep going back to:
High Fidelity Singing In The Rain |
Fight Club. Seems to be either a love it or hate it movie. Personally, it's one of my favorite movies.
|
Don't forget Missouri Breaks. Or Groundhog Day. Or What About Bob. Or True Lies. And the classic Jimmy Cagney One! Two! Three!
Oh yeah, The Cheyenne Social Club. And Arsenic and Old Lace. |
I'm surprised no one has said Kung Pow.
Maybe it's just me, but I've watched this movie at least 100 times since I first saw it in theaters. It seems to be either a hit or miss for people but I love it. |
Am I the first to say "3 Amigos"?
Chevy Chase, Steve Martin and Martin Short?!? "Jefe, would you say I have a plethora of Piniatas?" "Yes, El Guapo, I would say you had a plethora of Piniatas..." "Do you know what a plethora is?" Shit, that was funny. Of course, all the previous posts were good too. I watch Big Lebowski and Good Will Hunting once a month or I go crazy. |
Before Sunrise and the sequel, before sunset. I really wanted to believe it was all true. Gosh, how I need love..
|
Fullmetal Jacket
Office Space |
Already mentioned by Kramus, but I never get sick of watching Groundhog Day, but the topic begs the question "How many times must you see the movie to come to the conclusion that you 'never get sick of' it?"
Groundhog Day: I have seen it ~12 times. I'm not sick of it yet. Mary Poppins: A great movie to my way of thinking, but after maybe 30 viewings, I want to hurt myself every time I see it. At 20 times, it was still palatable. The Sound of Music: ~15 viewings and I'm tired of it. It doesn't make me want to hurt myself though. Shrek: ~25 viewings. Same reaction as above, but not as good of a movie. I was sick of it around 15 viewings. The Incredibles: ~15 viewings. I'm starting to get sick of it, but I still really like specific parts of it. (Especially the Edna Mode character). |
Can't believe no one has mentioned Raising Arizona. I must have seen that movie fifty times. Has more memorable quotes in it than any movie I know.
