Well I just saw it, and I think Jim Carrey has a downhill slide going about now...It was ok, but nothing spectacular.

ummm... review? Plot if there is one... is Jennifer Aniston any good? Should I even ask about Morgan Freeman? Can I have the peeing dog?

I laughed my ass off in the beginning. 6 out of 10

It was solid. I could have done without the sappy discussion between Bruce and God at the end, and maybe a little less mugging from Carrey, but it was certainly a step up from anything he's done lately.
Freeman was pretty much his usual phlegmatic self, which was very appropriate for the portayal of God in the film. Aniston was nothing spectacular, little more than a plot device for Carrey. Some clever bits about Carrey's failure as God, not completely goofy shit, as portrayed in the trailers. Worth seeing as a comedy, especially seeing as there is little else out at the moment.

Haven't seen it yet but really lookin' forward to it.

Quite looking forward to this. I also enjoyed The Majestic, even though the critics hated it.

I enjoyed it but felt a little like I had just watched an episode of "Touched By an Angel". Maybe the made for the Comedy Channel version of "Touched by an Angel" but stlil pretty heavy handed with the religious stuff... Though I guess I should have expected it as the movie is about being God... I would say that overall it is worth seeing. Maybe more worth seeing as a rental, but still decent.

It was decent. Not great. Worth seeing but far from the high point of his career. I liked the Majestic too but I know why it didn't do well. teflonian did you ever actully watch an episode of touched by an angel? I mean while it WAS less blasphemous then say, dogma, it was far from a religious movie.

was it just me or did was it like liar liar alot, I liked it. It was funny, it had its parts, and a love story, but i thought it was a pretty good movie, i think i'll get it when it comes out.

Wasn't bad, just watched it, thought the discussions were good, and the movie had it's moments.

When he body slams Grace to the bed, I rolled. Good parts. 7/10.

dunno what happened to the movie but halfway thru it it became a snooze-a-thon. but the first half was hilarious.

See I was thinking more like the mask myself. See it happens to any good actor (Can't quite go so far to call him a "great" actor) after they have made a number of decent movies. No matter WHAT you do people will draw parrells to past work.

Do we get to see her 'new' breasts close up?

Yea! Like a 30 second clip, all focused on her chest....It is pg13 though...so no skin.

funny like liar liar but a cheesier movie. Only cracked up during the part when he messed with that guy doing the news :lol:

While not the best show I have ever seen I thought it was pretty evenly funny and I didn't get bored so I give it 7 of 10.

It was funny, but I can see the resemblance to Liar Liar. Too sappy at the end, but it was better than anything else I could have seen that night.

Same plot as Liar Liar pretty much: guy receives abnormal ability in order to teach him a lesson. The first 3/4 of the movie is hilarious. The rest was kinda slow.

I enjoyed it. It had several good laughs, more like the older Jim Carrey stuff. Sure it was like Liar Liar... but I enjoyed that as well.

Dont' go in expecting a Truman Show or anything but just be prepared for some good laughs.

It's not worth the full price, maybe matinee

This movie reminded me so much of Liar Liar. The same comedy style. I thought it was one of his top 5's. And it had that sweet happy ending.
