"Tilt" ending
Did anyone see the season ender? The last scene was a slow scroll to the left and ended with someone hanging in the shower while a voiceover said that for the vast majority of visitors to Vegas... you lose.
Who was in the shower? The police chief? The casino president? Eddie "The Matador?" I only looked away for a minute and it was too late! |
i turned it off after "the hand". i would assume that it was the casino president because the police chief left for utah and the matador was going to have his lawyers meet him at the police station. the president is the only one that didn't have an "out".

It was Testa. The guy who was going to testify.
I assume this means that the Matador is going to get off. |
Like every other ESPN mini-series this one appears to be headed for the can. This show should be cancelled for the simple fact that the main character's name was the Matador. The Matador? Are you kidding me? Might as well call him the Godfather, or maybe even the Enforcer.
|
Optimus Prime would have been cooler than the Matador too. Just my two cents.
|
Yeah, it was Testa.
Overall, I thought it was a pretty well done series, although it ended a bit abruptly... I forgot that first seasons usually only have a handful of episodes. YES, I agree that the acting and lines were a bit cliche at times... but after having roommates that dissected and overanalyzed shows and movies for three years, I typically just find shows that look good, watch them, and enjoy them without trying to pick it apart. It's a lot more fun that way. |
It was a great spin-off from the WSOP tournaments. The right mix of plot and cards to keep things interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing if it's as good on DVD as it seemed on television. Almost any drama can seem good when you've got 4 viagra ads every commercial break.
