Yeah, my wife feels that way too. But I absolutely don't care, damn it. I politely watch endless hours of shit with her that makes me want to fall into a coma, so she can sit through one of mine favorites or find something else to do. ;-)

Miracle on 34th Street. The better Christmas films are the true classics. Also, Rudolph. Those misfit toys still put tears in my eyes.

Great lists, people.
Except for The Pianist, all of the listed movies are on my holidays "To watch" list.
I haven't seen Love Actually yet, either.

My favorite is A Christmas Story, as well.

Did you know you can buy a leg-lamp all your own?

Saw the title of this thread and though "awesome, I bet hardly anyone else will say Die Hard!" Ooops.

But yeah, Die Hard is definately up there. Also a recent film that will join my favorite christmas movies is Bad Santa (especially the Badder Santa DVD). I bought the poster a few weeks ago just so I could have it grace my wall through the holiday season.

The Grinch, Rudolph, et al. And I can't believe the clay-mation classics haven't gotten more of a mention!

The Year Without a Santa Claus is one that's so funny...

Heat Miser's Song

Heat Miser..........................Heat Miser Hair-Du!

I'm Mister Green Christmas
I'm Mister Sun
I'm Mister Heat Blister
I'm Mister Hundred and One
They call me Heat Miser,
What ever I touch
Starts to melt in my clutch
I'm too much!

He's Mister Green Christmas
He's Mister Sun
He's Mister Heat Blister
He's Mister Hundred and One
They call me Heat Miser,
What ever I touch
Starts to melt in my clutch
He's too much!

Thank you!
I never want to see a day
That's under sixty degrees
I'd rather have it eighty,
Ninety, one hundred degrees!

Oh, some like it hot, but I like it
REALLY hot! Hee hee!
He's Mister Green Christmas
He's Mister Sun

Sing it!
He's Mister Heat Blister
He's Mister Hundred and One
They call me Heat Miser,
What ever I touch
Starts to melt in my clutch
I'm too much!
Too Much

Snow Miser

Many others have posted both my most favorite AND least favorite christmas movies

I'd have to say that as a kid I HATED A Christmas Story, bored me to tears

My FAVORITE Christmas movie (actually one of my favorite movies of all time) would have to be Nightmare Before Christmas. My family tradition was to watch it every Halloween AND Christmas time. Well, just me and my two (female) cousins about my age, man we love'd that movie. Funniest thing was walking in the middle of a snow filled forest singing "Making Christmas" haha

Sadly enough, I have to admit that as a child I was also very partial to the movie Prancer. I'd watch it even when it was the middle of summer...::sigh::

A Christmas Story and Charlie Brown Christmas. When I was younger I always told my mom that I wanted to get a "charlie brown tree". I didn't want a perfect one.

I was driving down King Street in Alexandria VA earlier this week and someone has the leg lamp in their window. Its amazing! My wife and I just broke into laughter when we saw it.

I can't watch It's a Wonderful Life anymore, but I realized the other day when I was in a room where it was on that the part that makes me cry isn't the end, but rather when there's a run on the bank. The first guy demands all his money, then the second and third guys ask for $20, and then the next person is a quiet little woman who asks in a small voice "Can I have $17.50?" as if she were asking for too much.

The Year Without a Santa Claus is one that's so funny...

The Blue Christmas Medal goes to kjroh for pulling out "Year Without a Santa Clause"! Nice.

I am suprised mine hasn't come up yet. Understand it is now a tradition for my niece and nephew to break into tears when they are sent from the room every year because they are too young to watch

The First South Park Christmas Special with the introduction of Mr. Hankey!!

I also throw in a copy of the original South Park which was designed as a video Christmas card, called The Spirit of Christmas, complete with Jesus vs. Santa Deathmatch...

We put the fun in dysfunctional, as they say!

I'm glad someone else said they didn't like A Christmas Story. It's just.....annoying. I'm really into Love Actually at the moment. My favorites would have to be, in no particular order:

Rudolph
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
The Year Without A Santa Claus
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon)
A Christmas Carol (George C Scott)

It doesn't matter if it's Christmas time or not. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is one of the funniest movies ever. I love it. Don't get me wrong, A Christmas Story is cute and kinda funny, but it's got nothing on Chevy.
