That's hilarous, War. Makes me think Mr. Blake might have been involved in the S.S. Minnow's fate... And the Skipper and Gilligan didn't have a grudge with him, so maybe they're his lackies, and were given the orders make his enemies dissappear?
Who knew Gilligan's Island could be so sinister?? ![]()

so i just re-watched the episode where boone hallucinates...
locke put that stuff on his head... and we assume that made him halucinate... but jack halucinated and he never had locke mess with him like that... so maybe locke was just keepin boones head from getting infected...

I agree with you completely guthmund... especially about the walt thing....heres some of what ive noticed...
-=when throwing the knife with locke, walt nails it perfectly after picturing it happening in his head -=when reading the book about birds... one appears flying towards him only to be stopped by the glass window. as if he created it or at least made it come to him -=walt and hurley are playing backgammon... walt gets the roll he wants EVERY time... -=walt is reading that spanish comic book... his dad throws it in the fire and we see a big mad looking polar bear on the page its open too... then walt disappears and is attacked by a polar bear... If he was making those things happen, is it possible he could have caused the plane wreck? He's definently got some kind of special abilities. I'm sure there are other things that have happened in relation to walt that I haven't noticed yet.

One point though. If walt can "make things happen", I would think the first thing on his list would bring his mom back. If she shows up in a later episode, I get a gold star.

I don't think he caused the plane wreck (I hope it's something more insiduous than a pissed off 10 year old boy's whim), but I certainly think he's going to be an important part in them getting off the island. Not to mention his dog, which I don't think is really his dog. Remember, how in one of the first episodes he's looking for the dog and can't find it. The next episode the dog shows up. Unhurt, clean and perfect? Everyone else looked like Hell warmed over, but Walt's dog.....well, you get the point. Mrklixx: I don't think they'll be that obvious. Not that the island couldn't do it, but Walt wouldn't think it up. His mom is dead. Had been for a bit when his father came to get him. Walt was sure his mom was dead. The dog, however, nobody saw the body. Nobody was sure if the dog was dead. So, maybe, Walt imagined himself up a new doggero, no? noodles: I think that bird was just the first noticible instance of Walt's "differentness." I was watching the show with a couple of friends and when that bird smacked the window, there was an OMFG moment when the guy next to me made the comment that the bird Walt was looking at was the same kind of bird that hit the window. I'd have to re-watch the episode to be certain, but I kind of got that impression as well. Especially when the step-father's gaze fell on the book, specifically the picture of the bird Walt was talking about.

'Lost' showed last night here in Oz for the first time. Pretty exciting stuff! I'm not going to read this thread 'cos I don't want to know what happens, but that Charlie guy is a bit suspicious.....
I'm already hooked!

How many episodes have been on so far (in America)? I am just wondering how long they could go on with it? Perhaps the mysterious creautre will transport them into space! ![]() |

We even have to watch the S.O.T.U. here in Canuckistan too. Although I'm on the East coast and it didn't start till 10 pm. So I was on my way to bed. I can't wait to see what happens to the Claire. Should be good!

"Holy shit, Jack kicks ass!" was the first thing that came to my mind. Aside from Jack kicking the crap out of Ethan, the episode was just alright. I saw most of the stuff coming from a mile away and they didn't really solidify the story any more. I did laugh when charlie threw up in the copier though.

It was nice safe episode that fell, tragically, into two big drama/soap opera cliches. 1- Kill off random person nobody ever heard of and act like they're important. 2- Someone gets amnesia. I'm a big fan, but was severly disappointed in this episode. One, they managed to catch the bad guy. The same bad guy that previously seemed to be two steps ahead of everyone, fell into a trap because he didn't expect a trap. Yeah, Charilie and the gang are just going to leave ol' Claire out there in the jungle walking around, come on and get her no questions asked. Of course, Ethan? had to die, but it was bit too neat that Charlie was the one to do it. Didn't see that one coming. ![]() This show has become a staple of my television viewing. I'd hate for it fall into the same boring, trite, predictable storylines that seems to run rampant on network television. ![]() Oh well, there's always next week, no?

I second a lot of what guthmund wrote. I hope against hope that this show doesn't start to 'settle'. It was a bit predictable, to be honest. But I still love it.
There was the neat sub plot with the asian couple. He's suspicious of her. Doesn't have great promise as an exciting awesome thread, but it's neat character development. I never would have given a gun to Sawyer. That seemed a little fabricated, in such a way that it could come back to haunt them for giving Sawyer bullets. Hmmm, I wonder what next week will hold...

Yeah the Sawyer thing really bothered me.
Jack knew what's her face knew how to use a gun and he could kind of trust her. Why wouldn't he just get her to come help out? Jack doesn't seem like the overprotective "Women folk stay at the ranch" type to me. SO that was a plot hole in my book. |

I've been waiting for the latest episode for weeks! What's going on over there?!?!? I thought it was aired once a week?

I expect it to not be business as usual, at least where they reveal stuff. Remember, this will almost certainly be a multi-season show, so they have to parse out info to get more episodes.

Ah I'm going on and on. Also, during Christmas and such, most people won't be around to watch TV. Networks know this, so they don't bother putting on a new episode that nobody will watch. And if you have a new show every week, wheres the buzz talk? Where's the anticipation? When they have a two week layoff after a really good show, the networks know that will get people talking, and that's good for them. Might get new people to watch the show. So that's a bit of why you have breaks in a typical TV show season.
