Dirty Dancing!?!?!?
 

Ok, now, since apparently Satan's minions somehow managed to ressurect the evil that is Dirty Dancing, in order to make the scariest movie of the year not involving Martin Laurence 'Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights' which I haven't seen because I want to live kind of. I am determined to get to the bottom of this whole Dirty Dancing madness.

Now, I'm so determined I'm even prepared to sit through this train wreck in order again for the first time in a decade in order to relate to people's points.

Anyway my question is: 'Dirty Dancing' why don't you hate it?

Because it hasn't hurt me.

Because I haven't seen it

It's hard to hate something you've never seen...

I'm about to "Dirty Dance" with myself.

Because it had a happy ending. Mmost people enjoy the sort of moive where the underdog comes out on top and everything works out for the best.

Sort of like the movie "Ballroom Dancing."

I don't really like it.

Simply because it kind of grossed me out- she was what- 16?- and he was much older.

That and it was pretty boring. I am not into dancing, nor summer getaways, so it really didn't interest me in the least.

Why don't I hate dirty dancing? Well... I would really have to say that now I've had the time of my life. No I never felt this way before. Yes I swear, it's the truth, and I owe it all to you.

If I had to put a label on, I guess that's what I'd say.

It had a killer summer soundtrack (for 1987). It was a fun, romantic movie with, as tropple said, a really good ending.

I also liked it because it pretty much echoed how my parents met, except my dad was the lifeguard and not the dance instructor.

The most important reason why I liked it? Because...

NOBODY PUTS BABY IN A CORNER.

Yeah but then Baby got a nose job and I can't even recognize her anymore.... *sob*

That's no excuse.

Heh, I just pulled this out of my video library to watch... why do I like this movie? I loved the music and it was the first movie my family ever recorded with our VCR, heh man we watched that movie a zillion times after that...

Quick question about this movie... What book does Robbie offer to lend Baby in the dining room scene? I always try to stop and read the title but its always to blurry for me to make out...

Jennifer Grey was hottt in this movie! the scene where she is praticing her dancing on those steps going up the hill to "WIpe-Out" Ghhhaaaa! what a hot ass!

I absolutely hate this movie. It's sappy, the music is corny, and it's about DANCING.

The majority of women tend to love sappy/corny flicks like you wouldn't believe, which is why we get things like "Two Weeks Notice", "Pretty Woman", "Maid in Manhattan", etc...

I'd like to meet the genius that decided, "Hey, let's make a sequel to Dirty Dancing!!" It's just hilarious that there's someone that actually exists that 1. came up with the idea for a movie and thought it to be GOOD, and 2. the execs who APPROVED IT!! :lol:

Because NOW she's hot. .... oh wait.. that's not a reason to like the movie THEN .... is it.. hmmmm. I'll get back to you.

She's hot? Is that enough to save this movie? No...

If I wanted to see hot women in movies I'd watch soft porn, at least the story and acting would be better. Good soundtrack? Bah! That doesn't mean shit! League of Extraordinary Gentlemen could have a good soundtrack, but it would still be a stinking pile of metaphorical bovine faeces.
