SLC Punk!

After watching this movie with my girlfriend again last night, i really got to thinking how much i like this movie.

Personally, i see it as a great piece of social commentary, that has honestly affected my life. The idea of being a "poser" is something that i hear about all to often. Most social groups are rather elitest.

I think the movie has a lot of memorable sceens in it, and the char's themselves are great. Who can forget Heroin Bob?

So, what are your thoughts on SLC Punk! ?

Love the movie. For people who only know Matthew Lillard from his banal work in the Scooby Doo movies, it's amazing seeing him unleash his brilliant comic acting in this movie. It's a hilarious move that should be required viewing for anyone who claims that they're a punk rock fan.

Oh, and Hardcore Mike is one of the greatest characters in all of film.

Great movie. Haven't seen it in awhile, but I might just pop it in the DVD player this weekend.

Awesome movie. Theres a good amount of humor in it but theres a great deal of meaning behind it. Its a great coming of age movie.

Well, it's a crazy fucked up world and we're all just floating along waiting for someone who can walk on water, man.

I really loved this movie.

It shows not only how annoying the poser crowd can be, but also how much you can miss out on by trying to hard to be different and unlike everyone else.

Excellent film. Covers everything from image to culture to coming-of-age.... Brilliang work.

I grew up in Salt Lake City, so it was great to see the various locations. Lots of memories embedded in thaf film. Course, I wasn't a punk... But I knew a bunch of punks!

I saw this movie when it came out, and immediately liked it.

It's a very real representation of how egotistical and shallow, but ultimately interesting punk rockers can be.

My only regret is what happens to Heroin Bob, as he was one cool motherfucker.
