The movies rank with up there with Matrix: Revolutions and the the final Star Wars prequel, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Pulp Fiction and others on the 'films that I can completely miss seeing in my lifetime' list.
The first book is barely enough to keep readers interested for the second. The third book is where the series gets its fame from...and the fourth, and the fifth. The first two were original, but nothing compared to the third, fourth, and fifth books. I suggest ya read the second and then the third!

I'm baaaaack!

Is John Cleese going to be in this one, too?

Sorry, but he is really the only thing that kept my interested. I think I am just too old for it. I don't get sucked into the story at all.

I really want to see this movie, but I can't find anyone else interested. Any Chicago TFP'ers want to go with me??

I haven't seen any of the Harry Potter movies. Should I watch?

Yes, you should.
Read the books, too.
While you're at it, send me all your postage stamps and cream cheese.

Just found out they cast Brendan Gleeson (Menelaus in "Troy," Hamish in "Braveheart.")

Sigh...Good actor, just not at all who I imagined..I really saw Malcolm McDowell doing a good job of it.

Yeah I agree, Malcolm would have been a great Mad-eye Moody.

About Brendan Gleeson , I just watched him last night on "28 Days Later...".
Pretty good job.
I liked him better as the Sheriff in "Lake Placid", though.

It's funny I always though Michael Gambon should play Mad-Eye Moody... The way he looked in The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover or The Singing Detective was just what I pictured Mad-Eye to look like (minus the wacky eye of course).

But I suppose I can deal with him as Dumbledore.
