Holy crap! now that I think about it, Ken Wattanabe is a perfect Ras Al Ghul! they look exactly alike!

hmmmm for Spider-Man 3 they need Michael Jackson as Morbius and that would make my day.

Nonononononono. While it was not what you could really call a good movie, have you seen the OLD Marvel films? Like the old 70's Spiderman? And don't even bring up the Fantastic Four film. What total SHIT that was. DD was a fucking GREAT film when compared to them.

Tom Wilkinson and Rutger Hauer have joined the cast of Batman Begins. Christopher Nolan is directing the latest incarnation of Warner Bros.' superhero franchise, which stars Christian Bale as the Dark Knight.

Wilkinson plays Falcone, one of the leading crime figures in Gotham City, while Hauer portrays Earle, a business contemporary of Bruce Wayne's murdered father who has designs on the Wayne corporate empire.

Michael Caine stars as Wayne's trusted butler, Alfred; Katie Holmes as a childhood friend of Wayne's; Liam Neeson as Wayne's mentor, Henri Ducard; Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, a former board member and sidelined employee of Wayne Enterprises; Gary Oldman as Lt. James Gordon; and Ken Watanabe as the villainous Ra's Al Ghul.
pretty damn cool I'd say. this cast is amazing; lots of great actors. haha we'll see how many of 'em stick around for a sequel.

HAS ANYONE ELSE SEEN THE NEW BATMOBILE!?

IT'S ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE HERE:
http://batmanbegins.warnerbros.com/page.html

I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS. IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY STUPID! I am just blown the hell away! Every part of me that was utterly excited about this movie has just gone to shit. It's horrible.

Look at this atrocity for yourself:

Now, everyone join me in saying WHAT THE MOTHER FAWKING HAYELL!?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Plain stupid!

If that didn't belong to Batman, I would think it's badass.
But if that's supposed to be the Batmobile, I cringe to think what the costume will look like.

Maybe it's just a prototype he uses since he's just starting out.

I don't know what to think of it, but it looks like an off-road vehicle.

It's got me worried though.

While it's not the Batmobile that I'm used to, I personally don't think it's that bad. Also, it's not necessarily the Batmobile, just a Batmobile; he has more than one.

Christian Bale was awesome in Equilibrium..really hope this Batman is done right. Could really see him playing the Batman role well.

Been a bit disappointed with the last couple of Batman movies, so we shall see I suppose.

Shit. Just... shit.

Thanks Warner Brothers, at least I got to be excited for a couple of weeks before you went and FUCKED IT ALL UP.

Edit: Okay, it's growing on me, and the more I think about it, the more I think it might be a good move to do this. Batman's just starting out, he's not gonna have fucking KITT right off the bat is he? No pun intended.

http://www.culttvman.com/jim_apitz__...batmobile.html

That was always my favourite batmobile. I'd like to see something like that... bit less stylised maybe, but something sleek, smooth, sexy, utilitarian, but most of all, that fits with the batman look.

I LOVE IT! Would be nice if the bonet had more to it but other that, it's great! He's supposed to be using a modified military vehicle anyway and the fact that Wayne is just starting out his venture as the Dark Knight it wouldn't make sense for him to have the uber-cool Batmobile from the original Batman film.

I'm guessing when we see this car rolling it's gonna be an unstoppable bad ass.

A few weeks back this popped up online http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=17218 it's been debunked but I still like the 'official' design more. You never know, it may just be a prototype.

There is a new teaser trailer up at Warner's B.B. site.

Great thing in the teaser is that the focus is on the character of Wayne, let's hope that the film is based more on character rather than flair. Then again, we've got Nolan at the helm, how the hell can he fuck that one up.

Thanks dude! I love how the mask is a pull over and attached to the body-suit. Best looking Bat-Suit yet though I do wish the gave him the cloth-suit of old, impractical but still cool.

I hear ya, Mr.D.
A cloth suit would be good, if they can make it look better than Adam Wests' Batman.
At least on this one he looks like he'll be able to view his surroundings without having to move his whole body.

I have to admit that when I saw the pics of this early "batmobile" I was struck with dread, thinking it was the foreshadow of YET ANOTHER bad Batman movie. But seeing the cast, the trailer, and review of the script, hope has been rekindled. Maybe we'll get an awesome Batman movie!

PS, Still have reservations about that monstrosity-mobile.

I LOVE the Bat-Tank-Humvee-Thing! I don't care if it's supposed to be the Batmobile, or another one of Bruce Wayne's many Batvehicles, it just looks dark and mean.

And that teaser trailer made me even more excited than ever for this. I've been cautiously optimistic - even after all of the excellent casting - because of the last few pieces of crap Warner threw at us. But that "cautious" feeling is leaving in a hurry, and I'm dying to see it now!

The Batmobile in ACTION!!

I got this camcorder clip off of AICN.com, which mirrored it off of superherohype.com.

http://www.aintitcool.com/downloads/batmobile.mov <---

It's filmed by a couple of fans that supposedly live near where they were filming the Batmobile in action.
(That was my understanding, at least.)

In my opinion, they need to rework her cornering capabilities.
But, all in all, she looks badass!

Hasn't cornering abilities of the batmobile always been questionable? I mean, that thing is a big ass boat of a car. I remember the first Batman movie, he had to shoot out the tow cable in order to swing 'er around that one corner.

That's true, but with the Burton Batmobile I didn't get the feeling of an impending rollover.
Even when the Nolan Batmobile passes that car, you can tell it overbalances and almost turns over.

I hope they can fix it.
