I only caught about half the series when it originally aired on HBO a few years ago, so I have been watching it every night on the History Channel. It is of course an excellent mini series, and I'm glad the history channel left in the gore so we can appreciate how much these people sacrificed.

I can't believe I missed this miniseries before it was on The History Channel. By the fourth episode, I'd already headed out and bought the DVD set. I told myself I'd wait to watch the DVDs till after the miniseries had finished on TV, but I couldn't help it. I watched it all on DVD and still caught each episode on TV every night.
Truly amazing portrayal of truly amazing individuals.

The behind the scenes on the making of BOB is great too. They show how the Ardennes Forest scenes were created on a sound stage with fake snow and trees. The attention to detail on this series is simply incredible. The amount of extras/wardrobe/props etc is amazing. A must see and must own for any true American.
