Hunter S. Thompson- whats he up to now
ok- other than being in an alcoholic stupor in aspen, what is HST doing these days- I heard that he is writing for someone, but have no idea who or what- anyone know where to get some of his current stuff?- I think he would have a neat take on the events lately- I would also love to see him cover the 04 campaign-

He actually writes some columns for ESPN.com's Page 2. I used to read them a lot, but my interest faded out.

He used to write a piece every now and then for Rolling Stone, but I haven't picked up a copy in a couple of years so I don't know if he's still doing that.
Also, I think he got married.

Here's a link to an archive page of Thompson's articles for ESPN:
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/archi...son&root=page2 Looks like he writes one a week. Other than that, he's probably not doing much -- working on another book that may or may not get finished, living off royalties. He'll be 67 this year, after all. |

His latest book is...
"Kingdom of Fear : Loathsome Secrets of a Star-Crossed Child in the Final Days of the American Century" ...it came out about a year ago, and is a memoir of sorts...

It's a really good bet that he's sitting in his booth at his fav bar in Aspen drinking scotch or gin as I type this.
And by the time anyone reads this... he'lls still be doin' the same thing.

rum diary is going to have depp and benicio ala fear and loathing. Anybody listen to the commentary track he did for the fear and loathing dvd?Has to be the gretest anti drug message ever with all the screaming and rambling he does on it(occasionally his wit will shine through though).
