I have never bought a movie soundtrack before, but if I were to buy one I would purchase the soundtrack to Requiem for a Dream. Just one song. But it's so damn addicting.

The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!"

Yeah I liked it for some reason. I guess because it was cheesy good to me like Fast Times and Breakfast club.

Cameron Crowe really studies how people act during that time period and it really reflects in his work.

I have very few soundtracks in my huge assortment of CDs, even though there are some great scores out there. But, I do listen to the soundtrack of the Last Temptation of Christ on a regular basis (but I'm a huge Peter Gabriel fan, anyway).

High Fidelity and The Wedding Singer had great soundtracks. I also bought Spiderman two straight after the movie. The first sound track is horrible but the second soundtrack kick's serious ass. I forgot about Footloose, i was young when it came out but I still enjoy the movie... good times.

Countdown to the best I think are worthy of my ::cough cough:: legal ::cough:: collection:
5- Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (gotta love 80's movie that's a blatant rip off of Docotr Who)
4- Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 (excellent anime, a must see for cyber punk fans)
3- The Matrix Revolutions
2- The Punisher
And the best, you have to listen to it before you dis' it:
1- Joel Schumacher's film of Andrew Llyod Webber's The Phantom of the Opera
This was rock show pretending to be an opera and it was great.

Mojo compiled a list of the Top 100 Sntrks.

Many of them are older jazz sntrks, but they sure picked some great ones! Very, very surprised that Star Wars isn't on there.

I really enjoyed part of Gladiator and Pirates of the Caribbean. Obviously, Zimmer did one and he was a major inlfuence in Kadelt's PotC.

I really reccommend Unearthed by E.S. Posthumus. I bought Minority Report and Spiderman CDs hoping to hear the wonderful music from the trailers. The music in those trailers were just great in my opinion. However, they were no where to be found on the soundtracks. Luckily, all of the tracks from the trailers can be found on the Unearthed CD.
