Wow, i dont know about anyone else, but i think it's pretty immature of CNN.. CNN!!!! to say something like this in the title of their review.

Save it for the hack movie reviewer websites out there, save yourself some credibility...

Exactly, no point in trying to praise a movie if it does nothing right.

Call me crazy, but I don't think rival street kids "battle" one another by holding dancing contests. They shoot at one another.

Well I could have told you this movie was garbage just from the trailer. I think the real insult is comparing it to Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo.

I think I'd have to protest if my R&B nickname was J-Boog. :lol:

I'm glad that CNN posted a story that told the absolute truth about a movie. Now if only the same standard applied to big budget movies instead of craptastic straight to video flops.

You couldn't pay me to see shit like that. I hope Hollywood gets the point and starts making decent movies, instead of churning out craptastic flicks like this.

^that's your opinion, and that's fine, but to a lot of people, movies like this aren't "crap movies." I mean there is a market for stuff like this and these "crap movies" will be made forever, they aren't going anywhere.

I don't see any problem with them saying that, after all it IS a review.

Did I miss something? Last I checked breakdancing went out in like the 80's. Not only this movie, but I saw it on a commercial the other day too. Did it come back??

C'mon, you've gotta admit that breakdancing is pretty nifty. I mean, even the Pope enjoys it (http://www.wftv.com/news/2792793/detail.html)

That said, I wonder how well this movie will do. Though it's true that crap movies will always be made, so will continue to do well, not all of them do well individually. For example, I could be wrong, but I don't think Torque has done very well at all in the box office, it was #8 this past week. I can't wait until a few weeks from now when studios feel more comfortable releasing quality movies.

I lost faith that that would happen a long time ago so my netflix queue is full of foreign flicks, independent films, and classics.

The thing that gets me about shit like this movie is that you can go and find rocksteady crew videos that are about two trillion times more impressive.

No, they do. "Battle" is a break dancing term used to express a situation where two individuals, or "crew" have a competition to determine who is the better dancer.

That said, NO FUCKING SHIT!!!! Of course it sucked, I should punch that bitch in the face for bothering to write a review, right after I punch the writers for this movie, torque and the fast and the furious for making them in the first place.

The part where the guy does the "head grind" on the floor makes me crack up every time. He definitely got carpet burn.

^ I dunno, I'd probably see it another time just for the dance moves. If I did though, it'd definately be during the day for a matinee; no way I'm paying full price for that again. lol

They managed to get the pre-teens to watch this crap, and not that difficult since there is nothing else of any value to watch at the theatre.

ROTK is still at the majority of theaters. I'd rather go watch that again than that waste of celluloid.

Just saw this movie and yes it was terrible. I dont think anyone including the people who made it expected it to be anything other than terrible. BUT....

the dancing was fucking incredible.

This is one of those movies where you should just turn off the sound on your tv, play some music and watch the dancing

well You're crazy (hey you said it). Crew's have battles like this all the time. It's no different than Dj's having a battle or lyricist's battling. The movie sucked..it wasn't a good interpretation of what really happens but very few movies are. If you think it sucked then you should try and find some legit battles and check them out sometime. You'll see some pretty amazing things.

I don't have much to say about that movie, I don't really remember it much, but I do remember not liking it much. It's like they're running out of ideas to write scripts.

Weren't the starring cast of this movie that manufactured pop band B2K that failed miserably and has since broken up? I don't mind entertainers crossing over to other things, but when you're not even a real artist in the first place, then you try to cross over to a movie that isn't even a real movie...

I got served once. It was garbage.

I came in to watch something halfway decent on HBO, hoping maybe Deadwood, or Carnivale, or even the lovable liberal Bill Maher was on--NO for 8 secs I sat through You Got Served and bled from my eyes. This was not a movie, it was a portal to hell. People didn't like this movie! How could you with the sounds of thunder, lightning, babies crying, woman screaming, pigs being slaughtered, HELLISH SHIT!

Not really... you couldn't pay me to watch that movie. I have some pride.

hahahha portal to hell, thats great. I got tricked into watching some of this movie on HBO too, in fact it was yesterday. All i could think was ... people actually think this is a good movie somewhere?
