More Turtle news!

We decided to follow-up with Lions Gate/Artisan regarding the news we brought you last week about TMNT coming to DVD.
We've confirmed that the first set will be released on April 20th, along with 4 unaired episodes. Pricing, disc-configuration and any special features will likely come when the official press release is sent out later this week or early next week.
I'm sure you can guess by my avatar, or by me constantly playing TMNT Tunes in #TFP Chat that I'm pretty excited to see this. Three months unil I'm in heaven.

Woohoo! I loved the first two movies but the third one kinda bored me. What'd'you guys think of the new TMNT series? I didn't think it was as bad as people said it was, mind you I've only seen the first 5-6 episodes.

I grew up to them... So I can't wait to buy them. Some people may look at them now and say "thats crap" Then again I can look to some people who downright love Dragonball Z with a passion and say "whatever" Personally I think they kicked ass, that is my opinion, but they still did. Shit look at my avatars for cryin' out loud.

Oh come'on, "Whoops! More Logs!" That was one of many classic lines in the third movie! but yeah I liked the first two much better. I own all three on VHS.. now that I've seen a bundle for all 3 DVD's I need to go out and buy that.

I'm sure I am only one of millions who used to pretend with their friends they were Ninja Turtles. That show rocked.

The new cartoons I think are okay, but I'd certainly choose the older ones to watch. It reminds me of how my mom said she'd rather play Atari than any newer system.

the difference between cartoons when we were kids and cartoons now is like chocolate and shit... they were far better back in the day. Much better drawn, plotted, and everything. Shows now have gotten lame.

I may have to get this dvd set... very nice. Thanks Gak for the link.

I liked the first season of the show. Very gritty and full of action. I felt the show got very "kiddy" as it went on.

The trouble with cartoons nowadays is that they try to splice in morals and messages which is great to a certain extent but when I watch Transformers Armada I don't want see my Autobot heroes ceasing to chase the Decepticons through the forest because they're afraid they might smash a tree down. And I sure as fuck don't want a whiny kid to cry about the forest dying.

My god, I loved TMNT so much.

I remember my Mum got me a Donatello action figure and my brother got Leonardo, and we were both cut that we didn't get Michealangelo. Raphael was awesome too.

During my playtime for a long long time after that, Donatello beat the living shit out of GI Joes, Legomen, then had a fight with Voltron, but then they became friends and went on a rampage through the kitchen bashing in the heads of army men. Then I got a Scorpion doll from Mortal Kombat and Donatello's arm got ripped off by the dog.

I also recall spending some gigiantic sum of money, like at least 12 dollars, which was a lot when you're 8 playing the Ninja Turtles arcade game. Only Golden Axe or Double Dragon was better than that shit.

Bah, backpacks under the shirts, everyone did that. But did you take the head off your mop and stick rulers in the backpack and beat the hell out of cacti out the back of your house...

Ahhh good times...
