Along Came Polly
I went and saw it last night, and decided to let a day go by before I offer my opinion on it. To let it all soak in sort of speak.
Well, I really haven't changed my opinion since then. This movie was sub-par at best. Re-hashed jokes, cookie-cutter plot, almost nothing new. You could easily predict what was going to happen at each point of the movie. I'm trying not to give too much away for those who do want to see it. Basically, he's a risk assessment agent for an insurance company who falls for *gasp* a woman who is his total opposite! This movie was like a very badly written "There's Something About Mary." Clogged toilet, a strange pet, weird friend, etc... There were some funny parts, Alec Baldwin does a good job as Stiller's boss, although they could have done more with him just like they could have done more with the differences between Stiller and Aniston's characters. All in all, there were a few laugh out loud moments (standard Ben Stiller stuff) but they were just too few and far between. 6/10 (I just couldn't bring myself to give it a 7) Definitely a rental, but not worth a movie ticket price |
I thought it was pretty good. Hank Azaria as the naked French scuba guy was pretty funny. Like Kaos said, pretty standard Ben Stiller stuff. 6/10 is a pretty fair rating. It was a good date movie I guess.

I thought it was pretty good too. Again, pretty much what I expected of a Ben Stiller movie, but Jennifer Aniston is just HOTT! Worth the price of admission there.

I would agree 6 or 7 out of 10. Good for a few yuks but overall what we have grown to expect from a Ben Stiller movie. I thought Jennifer Aniston was very good in it.

very sub-par movie. Not once did I get a good laugh during the film, at the most I got a smile a few times. What a letdown.

I could tell that during commercials. I will of course pass.
