I came across page dedicated to this show and it brought back so many memories. I used catch the reruns of it back around 1990. The first episode aired way back in January of 1966 and it completed its run in 1969 with a total of 89 episodes.

Here's the description from imdb.com:

"Dr. Marsh Tracy was a veterinarian running an animal study center in Africa. Helping him were his daughter Paula, American Jack Dane and Mike, a local. Also living with the Tracys--and equally a part of the show's starring cast--were a crossed-eyed lion named Clarence and a chimp named Judy. The series' storylines were largely centered around protecting the wildlife of the local game preserve from poachers and other threats."

Animal Planet was the last network to run the episodes, but I believe they stopped a while ago.

Anyway, I'm looking for a DVD or some VHS copies of the show. I've checked amazon and ebay and found nothing. I did a google search as well. I was hoping someone here might know of a site that sells them. Any help would be appreciated.

Not enough demand, I guess. I remember watching the series in its first run. African wildlife-themed TV was popular for a little bit in the late '60s following the success of the big-screen picture "Born Free," which is very similar and easily rentable if you haven't seen it yet (you probably have). A similar TV show of about the same time period was "Cowboy in Africa" starring Chuck Connors.

Don't forget "Hatari" with John Wayne and Red Buttons.
