Re: Favorite cartoon character
Quote:
No cartoon character beats Bugs Bunny from the 1940s to the 1950s. None. Might as well not even try. My favorite current cartoon character? Well, that's tough since I don't tend to watch 'em. Maybe Kyle Broslovsky. |

I think it's kinda hard to claim any cartoon character that's come out very recently to be among the greats unless it's truly, truly groundbreaking or unique; but with that being said, it's not gonna stop me from touting the recent ones.
Homer Jay Simpson is definitely up there, Stewie Griffin of Family Guy is close, but I'd also have to say Bugs Bunny, Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear, Scrooge McDuck, Chilly Willy the Penguin, and Mickey Mouse. While we're at it, why not add Stitch (Experiment 626) and Eric Cartman to the pile, too? Does Boba Fett from the SW Holiday Special count? hehe

I'll second Stitch. I love that little fucker.
But my all-time favorite would have to be Homer... just for the sheer multitude of profound quotes he has blessed us with. After Homer and Stitch... Penfold

Folks, It's passe these days, but Bugs Bunny was the best cartoon character ever. Particularly as done by Chuck Jones.
Nowadays, it's tight. I have to say the Tick has Samurai Jack by a hair, but that's really comparing apples and Buicks, As for the stuff that's not quite new, yet not really old school, I submit that the animaniacs, particularly Whacko Warner were grade A stuff. Whackoratti belching The Blue Danube after guzzling coke? Priceless.

Droopy D'-So cool, and I love when he would go wild then suddenly be calm again. His laugh is brilliant too, and it's hilarious when he's mad but looks calm, then does something evil!
The Tick (I though I was the only one!!!)-One of the very best! Daffy Duck-I just love his misery and obnoxiousness! Le Pepe Le Pew-The other calm and cool don. Bugs Bunny-The original calm and cool don. Mihoshi from Tenchi Muyo-she's just so funny and stupid.
