I didn't like the first one that much, but this one looks promising!

That looks great. Alfred Molina looks awesome as that Octopus guy. Good trailer, I didn't know they had one yet.

The trailer came out at midnight this morning. I wasn't a big fan of the first one, but that trailer looks awesome. Hopefully Parker won't be a dick like at the end of the first one!

The composer (Danny Elfman) composed Sleepy Hollow, Edward Scissorhands, Batman, etc. You can tell the Spiderman 2 theme has the same man behind it (very awesome music in the trailer!).

I don't think you should do a comic book movie without Danny Elfman on the score anymore. He did the Hulk also. I'm a big fan of his music, his dramatic scores are among the best.

Danny Elfman (somehow) makes musical scores that fit movies PERFECTLY. Like you sit there thinking "this IS the Spider-Man song! it always was! someone just had to produce it."

He's a damn genious!

Same with Batman and Edward Scissorhands

i have been a fan of Danny since the Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo, his first soundtrack being The Forbidden Zone, directed by his brother, Richard Elfman.

I did like the first one, liked it alot, I watch it all the time. I'm looking forward to seeing just how this franchise evolves, since the Batman franchise was killed by Joel Schumacher.

which reminds me... let me push play...

If Elfman is on board at least it will have some redeeming quality. I didn't realize Elfman did the Hulk usually I pick right up on his scores. Another reason to like the Hulk, huh.

I read in the comments on Slashdot that they imbedded the file pretty damn deep into things, making it (as of yet) inaccessible.

The comment on Slashdot: http://features.slashdot.org/comment...45&cid=7725688

But there's hope! A link to a torrent of it from that thread: http://www.cyberyoda.org/download.ph...er.ogm.torrent

The trailer is arse, I don't want a whole minutes filled with Spidey flying around the city, gets boring after a while. However the car flying through the window was money, and Doc Oc looks pretty cool. Should be a decent film, the first one definately was (but didn't deserve the praise it received).

The car flying through the window was definitely cool. Sam Raimi is one of the best directors working today who can really get the feel of making a living comic book. I love all of his weird angles and close ups. 2 will be a great movie.

The trailer has the perfect comic book feel. Unnecessary rack-focusing between Parker and Doc Ock in the first part is perfect. The rest of it moves so fluidly, it feels way better than the first one.

I'll probably see it at some point. I'm not exactly lookin forward to it. The first was pretty good.

I just HATE the marketing that surrounds it. We'll be seeing spiderman cookies, plates, balloons, shoes, video games, etc.. for the next 6 months

Now that Sam Raimi is filthy f'n rich, I expect him to make another Evil Dead

Well, speaking of cookies...

I actually have to say that I'm really looking forward to this. I mean, 4 fuckin' stars from ebert is meaningful. Also, it should be duly noted that it's still got 98% on rottentomatoes.com, after 45 reviews, only one being rotten, and not even that bad. I mean, we're talking a C+, which is better than most can hope for in a "rotten" situation. Anyways, one naysayer isn't going to detract my hope for this movie.

I have low expectations for this film primarily due to the first one being nowhere near as good as people made it out to be, the trailers haven't impressed me much either. Like I said before, seeing Spidey fly around the city for so long gets incredibly boring. If Venom or Carnage are in Spidey 3 (and it looks like they will be, or at least Brock will be) then I'll be genuinely excited for that sequel.
