Comedians you've seen

What comedians have you seen live? Were they any good?

I saw JimOin live a couple of years ago. He was awesome. I thought that the guy the warmed the crowd up was also very funny. Wish i'd seen Billy Connely live.

I wouldn't call him a comedian, but I saw Henry Rollins spoken word. That guy seriously knows how to tell some good stories.

We saw Gallagher live in a little club a few years back.
Just saw Stephen Lynch live last year. He is great I want to go see him again this year but we don't have the money.

I saw Mark Curry (from hanging with mr. cooper) and Lewis Black for some insanely cheap price, like $5. It was over at Ithaca College. By far the most bang for the buck that I have ever gotten in anything.

Lewis Black was amazing... so hilarious. Mark Curry was pretty decent too.

I've also seen Jon Stewart, Tracy Morgan, Stephen Lynch, and Dave Chappelle here at Cornell. All were good shows. Wow... come to think of it, I didn't realize I've been to all these... damn.

Seen George Carlin
Jeff Foxworthy & Bill Engvall (seperately and together on Blue Collar Tour)
Jeff Dunham
several local comedians

All were very good. The Blue Collar Tour was amazing, it also featured Larry the Cable Guy.

Jeff Dunham is a ventriliquist who features "Peanut" and "Walter". My side was hurting after the show.

Cool, Jon Stewart and Dave Chappelle also came to do shows at UMD in the past few years. Mo Rocca was just here as well. Unfortunately, I've missed all three of them, thanks mostly to ill-timed anniversaries with the ol' ex. bitter? nah...

I saw Drew Carrey way back when before he had his show, not quite as pg as some people would think (although if you read his book you wouldn't have that opinion.)
Pen & Teller in Vegas was fun
Gallagher when I was like 8 or so and didn't understand any of the sex references, just wanted to see the sledge-o-matic

i am also on the list of lewis black fans and can't wait to see him either

I've seen Bill Cosby a few times. He is without a doubt my favorite comedian of all time. I've also enjoyed George Carlin (2nd favorite) and Richard Jeni in concert. I defy anyone not to have tears the first time they hear Richard Jeni tell his "stages of drunk" story...

I saw Robin Williams at an industry function when Aladdin first came out on video. I was.....underwhelmed. I respect what he does, but on stage he just seems to be a mental patient on speed. I found myself more laughing at him, than with his stories.

The two biggest names I've seen were Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Cosby, both were very good. Dane Cook put on a very explosive show which was great. I got tickets to see Lewis Black, Dave Attel, and Mitch Hedberg. Also, Brian Regan is coming soon, so I'll have to see him.

His body language is funny as hell.

I haven't seen any comedians live, unfortunately, but I've seen all these mentioned (with the exception of bundys' comedians and Psivages' Aunt and Uncle) on tv.

I saw Sam Kinison at a club in Tulsa a few years before he died. His show wasn't that long, but he was really funny.

For some reason, he's also buried in Tulsa

according to the IMDB . I'm not sure what the Tulsa connection is -- he was born in Illinois.

Kevin Brannen, Stephen Lynch and Uncle Tops were all really good, but Vince Morris was definitely the best. Not many people know about him, but he's unreal. Go see him if you get the chance.

I'm still waiting for the opportunity to go see Eddie Izzard.

I've seen Jay Mohr, Lewis Black, and Dave Atell all at college. All were pretty good but the funniest part of the experiences was seeing the really conservative people's reactions to the kinda inappropriate material.

My all time favority is Sarah Silverman. Theres nothing like seeing a hot chick talk about completely dirty trashy stuff. I would kill for her to come here to see people's reactions.

Seen Jay Mohr, but I'd have to say my favorite so far was Bobby Slaton- he really worked with the audience in his routine. It's nice knowing they can add some variety to their acts.

I saw in college:

Bobcat Goldthwait
Julia Sweeney
Dennis Miller
Jeff Foxworthy
Adam Sandler

Dennis Miller was actually sick, but came on anyway.
Julia Sweeney was fresh off SNL, and supposedly hadn't really done standup before...she bombed terribly.

I would kill to see Stephen Lynch, Brian Reagan, or Mitch Hedberg. They all can crack me up, even with old material.

Most of the comics I've seen are in small clubs, so they're not anybody with names that most people would recognize.

I saw Carlin a few years ago, I was actually a bit disappointed as much of his material was on his CD released a couple of years prior.

I would love to see Bill Cosby or Jerry Seinfeld. In "Comedian," Jerry talks about how wonderful Cosby is.

I keep meaning to see Stephen Lynch but for some reason I never go when he's in town.

I would have loved to have seen Eddie Murphy in the mid 80s.
