I hate them but I guess they can play while I take a leak or something.
|
I've only come across them onm Disney DVD's where htey show you ads for just about every Disney film ever fuckin' made!!
|
ads on dvd's are stupid
it just pisses everybody off in the theatres, okay, it spreads the word u gotta advertize in the theatres but if someone is angry about the ad, they arent very likely to purchase the product. Put other trailers as a special feature! Thats fine. Hell, sometimes I even watch those |
Just like pop-ups -- one more thing that needs to be regulated or we will be forced fed.
|
my newest DVD player that I got, is multi region and doesn't have the RCEA (region coding enchancement) problems. I can also control my DVDs to fast forward thru those adverts.
if it's not regulation, it's by dollar. |
OK I hate ads when I go to the movies because they are just rediculous; and they wonder why people pirate the things. But I mean, that's one thing. If I actually go out and support a movie I like by paying for the dvd, I don't wanna have to see previews for B-movies and stuff without the option of skipping through it. It really shouldn't be on there period, which is what I loved about dvd's. But now they are starting to sell out and put ads on them. Not cool...
|
Ugh, I completely agree. I have yet to find someone who actually likes the previews. At they very least you should be able to skip past them.
I can't decide whether I hate them more than ads at the movie theater even including those anti-piracy ads (which are ludicrous anyway, painters and stuntmen don't get paid less if the movie doesn't make a lot of money and vice versa). |
I'm surprised this was a poll, who likes ads anyways?

http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/comedian.html Though I do agree with you on those anti-piracy PSA's. Especially when you consider how much union film crews get paid. I'm still against film piracy, but I think there's a better way to get the point across. |

I had just started the transition from cassettes to CDs when MP3s came along (late adopter/cheap bitch). I haven't bought a CD since Xmas 1998.
I was considering getting a DVD player. Now knowing that the beginning garbage can't be skipped, I'll just stick to VHS (taped from TV) or downloadable bootleg. No movie is worth jumping thru hoops like that. |
