I'm baaaaack!

What were your favorite TV shows as a child?

This can be cartoon or not. It can be a show for children, or just something you liked to watch.

1-Are You Afraid of the Dark- these were so corny, but I loved them anyway
2- You Can't do that on Television- I miss this show so much
3- Double Dare
4- The Dick Van Dyke show- around age 12, I would stay up late at night during summer to watch this on Nick at Nite
5- The Monkees- I had the biggest crush on Mickey- the drummer.

Man, I'd pay real money for full seasons of some of those on DVD now. I already have all of the Twilight Zones and Space 1999 - now we just need the rest.

The greatest part about being a kid was you could love shows even though they were kinda crappy. This reason allows me to enjoy certain shows that I would probably not enjoy if they premiered today... case in point:

1) MacGyver
2) The Greatest American Hero
3) Small Wonder

Even if these shows were actually good or not isn't the point... its all about the filter I see them through now...

A few that haven't been mentioned:
Batman The Animated Series
Conan the Adventurer

YES! That show was hilarious! The only part I remember was the kung fu guy who would fly around chasing people and eventually catch their neck between his legs. That show was great. Apparently that guy went on to direct Bill Nye the Science Guy...
I can't believe this show was on until 1999?!

Mind Your Manners With Billy Kwan! I tried to find an image, but I believe it is impossible. I'll be someone's best friend if they can find a screenshot of Billy Kwan.

Bah! How could I miss Transformers?!? And I just realized I missed Happy Days as well. They were both on at 3:00 and 3:30 back to back when I was in little school, and I used to run home so I wouldn't miss either.

Ah, those truly were the best days ever...

Does anyone remember Spectreman. None of my friends remember it. I thought it was the coolest show when I was little, though I can't remember too much about it now, other than I thought it was great!

Also, Thundercats, Knight Rider, Double Dare was cool too.

The only thing I can find is the logo from the show, although I did come across a guy selling, among a million other tapes, one or two Billy Quan compilations.

Monkey!!! I still watch it all the time.

In the time before Monkey, primal chaos reigned. The heavans sought order. But the pheonix can fly only when its feathers are grown. The four worlds formed again and yet again as endless eons wheeled and passed. The powers of the moon and the rain all worked on a certain rock as old as creation. This rock became magically fertile. This egg was named 'thought'. Takatha the Buddha, the father Buddha, says "With our thoughts we make the world". Elemental forces caused the egg to hatch. From it emerged a stone monkey. The nature of Monkey was irrepressable!!!

I totally forgot about Small Wonder. That show was awesome.

Muppet Babies
David the Gnome
Gummie Bears

Under the Umbrella Tree- I always hated that show! I don't miss it at all.

Two shows that no one can remember and I cannot remember the name of:

There was a show on Nickeloden about some girl that had a magic koala and a eucalyptus tree in her room.

Also, there was a short lived adultesque cartoon about fish, I think one was a detective.

Ah great memories!

Davis the Gnome was the man.

One that wasn't mentioned was Heithcliff. i remeber that i learned a sweet comeback from the smart ass in the cartoon that accomanied the heaithcliff cartoon (the one where these cats lived in a junk yard but had a cool set up), and i used it on my mom and she was pissed. I never used it again.

How about the Rescue Rangers.

Gummi Bears. They would drink that stuff and start jumping around. I swear it was PCP.

Thundercats.

There was one on Nicolodeon. it had a guy with a sword adn wierd animal twins that would unite and start singing and would power up the guys sword. The song had to do with Arcadia. I think they were from there.

last but not lest: THE NINENDO CARTOONS! Legend of Zelda, Mario Bro, the Super Mario Super Show with Captain Lou Albano. "Step right up, and move from side to side... do the mario."

Tiny Toons Adventures

God, kids today are missing out.
