I thought Eyes Wide Shut was fabulous (I saw it unedited in Japan).
I also love Last Action Hero and Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.

Not a big fan of American History X.
I dislike The Usual Suspects and Saving Private Ryan.
The English Patient is the most boring movie ever made.

Booyah, I'm famous. I realize after that most people won't give a shit what I say but hey, whatever, I'll add my 2 cents.

Blade Runner sucked.
Terminator 3 was ok, but no where near great.
I liked Reign of Fire.
I liked the Mario Brothers movie.
Bend it like Beckham and My Big Fat Greek Wedding were stupid. I watched them and went "Haven't I see that before? And didn't it suck then too?"
Kill Bill was watchable as a pointless action movie, but it was no where near even close to being anything resembling a "masterpeice" which so many have called it.
I don't see what the big deal is about the Lord of the Rings. The first one was mind numblingly boring at many parts of it. The second didn't seem to have much to it, but at least it wasn't quite so boring.
I liked Joe Dirt and Dickie Roberts.
I hate Dumb and Dumber (yes, the first one), and both Ace Venturas.
I liked Josie and the Pussycats.
I can't stand Anime
I wonder how many people have bothered to read this far.
There's many more I'm sure but I can't think of them and I'll just go ahead and stop now. Have a safe trip home, always honk for the gremlins before going over a cattle guard.

Edit: Ooh, thought of another one. Batman Forever is my favorite of the series.

I mean, the original trilogy is so blatantly one-dimensional, I don't see how people can read all sorts of crap into it. There is nothing profound or amazing about it. And don't even get me started on the script!
It had some pretty visuals (for its time), but THATS IT.
Yes Episode I & II sucked major ass...but this news just in...so did 4,5, and 6!
Face facts, your beloved trilogy was nothing more than a six hour toy commercial.

(commence beating)

I agree totally with CSflim. If I am really bored on a Saturday, and nothing is on tv, I will pop in one of the original trilogy tapes, and take a really great nap. I swear I have not made it through in one sitting ever without dozing off.

Josie and the Pussycats is hilarious. I need to buy that movie.
Blade is by far the best movie to come from a Marvel comic book.
Robert DeNiro is great in comedies. [/B]
Have never seen even the trailer for those first three, but I did enjoy both Blade and the last sequel quite a bit.

truly an atrocious adaptation of a classic novel that almost ranks up there with The Running Man on the "fucked up movies that threw away all of the good source material to start with" list.

I hate "A Beautiful Mind" with a sheer, unrelenting passion. It was just overplayed till the point of physical pain. I liked "Josie and the Pussycats" simply for Alan Cummings. I love Alan Cummings.

Also, I'm not sure how many people dislike the film "Willard", but judging from reviews, it was not well liked. I loved it. I bought the Dvd, and even if the movie had sucked.. seeing Crispin Glover roll around in Mice with Women in Lingerie while Lip Syncing a Micheal Jackson cover would make it worth the 17 bucks.

I have no interest in movies made form comic books (except some of the old Batman and Superman stuff, those were decent.) Spiderman, Hulk, new Batman movies, I have no interest at all.

Chucky series: why would anyone want to watch that crap. I rarely turn off a movie, and I couldn't go 5 minutes without changing the channel.

Great Expectations - Loved the cast, and the green hue everything was filmed in. Deniro is great.

Eyes Wide Shut - I really enjoy the subtlety of the film. I don't see what was bad about it at all.

Magnolia - I thought this movie was very well done. Most people I talk to hated it.

Titanic - Okay, "liking" it is pushing it, but I didn't think it was all that bad. I saw it before most of the hype though.

Last Action Hero - Are you kidding me? This movie is hilarious!

American Psycho - One of the greatest comedies of the last couple of years. Some people never get over the ability to let themselves laugh at something so dark.

Matrix: Reloaded and Matrix: Revolutions - I enjoyed both movies.

Tremors - Classic.

Hudson Hawk - Relax, it can be fun.

Batman Returns - Maybe its just Michelle Pfieffer in the cat-suit, but I love this movie.

The Thin Red Line - To me, Saving Private Ryan is how WW2 happened, and The Thin Red Line is how you would remember it. I really enjoyed The Thin Red Line.

You've Got Mail - I've seen this plot a thousand times, with the same actors. I love it every time.

A License To Kill - This is one of my favorite James Bond movies. Some people hate me for liking Timothy Dalton as James Bond.

Some Anime - Not all, but some.

Unusual Dislikes

A Beautiful Mind - Decent. But not in my "great" category.

The Fast and The Furious - I want to vomit.

The Sixth Sense - It doesn't take six senses to figure our the ending half way through the movie.

The Patriot - Why is the director of Godzilla and Independence Day doing historical fiction?

Braveheart - If you are going to make such a story up out of a few historical concepts, just make it sci-fi, look how well its done for Costner, Postman, Waterworld.

My Big Fat Greek Failure - I don't remember laughing. I remember being angry and wanting my money back though.

XXX - Vin Diesel is everything wrong with the universe.

The Crow 2 - So bad I skipped Crow 3 and I can no longer watch Crow 1 without crying myself to sleep.

Swordfish - Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Halle Berry's tits - cool. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Well, my greatest apostasy is that I that I think Speiberg isn't too great.

Most disturbingly: I love Commando, Breakin I and Breakin II: Electric Boogaloo.

There are more, but in terms of sheer horror, these are my greatest movie crimes...

I love all three Matrix movies, with Reloaded being my favorite.

I think Batman Forever is easily the best of the Batman movies. The first two had atmosphere, but they weren't that great.

Spiderman the movie had way too many flaws. I actually consider it a bad movie.

I hate every Adam Sandler movie. Just because a movie may be funny doesn't mean it's good.

The Ghostbuster movies suck.

Eyes Wide Shut is a damn good movie!

I agree with the Solaris fans...that movie was awesome.

Then for no reason at all, his character does a complete 180. He turns back to take revenge and gets killed. Bah! I can't watch the ending ever again. It ruins the movie.
He doesn't have everything. He got screwed over by a guy who's about to get away with it. So, he desperately wants to extract his revenge upon him. I didn't find this to be terribly out of character.
Also, I think he was talking about walking away from everything you've got, at a moments notice. He did have his revenge, the girl, and the money and he did walk away from it all when he saw the heat, literally, around the corner...

People want to flog me for disliking these movies:

Star Wars. All of them. The characters are thin, have no feelings and at the end has just become a way to churn out toys. Not to mention Harrisson Ford.

Kill Bill. I've seen most of the movies Tarantino ripped off. I don't think taht is talent. If you would do that with a book, you'd go to jail for plagiarism.

Titanic. It's just stupid.

Lost in Translation. It was okay, not uberly good. It actually got a little boring.
