Anakin's New Look in Episode III!
<center>http://www.homestead.com/anakin_sky/...3_Anakin01.jpg</center>
Now that's pretty bad ass! Go here for other pics: http://www.homestead.com/anakin_sky/...tos_LFM43.html It's quite nice to finally see C-3PO in his golden regalia again, can't wait for Episode III! TheForce.Net are hosting a comparison photo of Episode III Anakin and Episode VI Luke: http://cgi.theforce.net/theforce/ima...comparison.jpg |
After seeing that photo, for the first time i am looking forward to episode 3. He does look pretty badass, in a tears for fears kinda way.
|
Tight! Wonder if he ever got a better-looking prosthetic hand... the gold one he had in the last movie was way too Area 51.

thats actually pretty cool.
but i think i still prefer that egg head look in the last movie (sorry, by last i mean epVI). will this movie show his progression into wearing the helmet and other gear? |
Bleh, I hate Hayden Christensen. However, even with the previous two episodes being merely okay, I am still hoping the last one will be bad ass.

He doesn't look like a bad ass too me. Longer hair will not improve his acting either and I dont have much faith that #3 will be anything significantly different that the horrors of # 1 and 2.
|
i think he looks like hes ready to go on tour. Perhaps a dark band? return of the rockers?
|
Hayden's acting wasn't fantastic but to quote a line he uses in the film "he's holding me back!", I believe 'he' is George Lucas. Lucas is a control-freak who wrote a campy (though loveable) script and didn't let his actors roll with the lines. Apparently in Episode III Lucas has told his actors to improv here and there and be more relaxed.
I'm probably just a big ol' geek but I find the scene where Anakin confesses to Padme about killing all the Tusken Raiders very chilling (especially on the DVD version where he says "I'm a Jedi, I know I'm better than this.". Hopefully Hayden will be able to come into his own in Ep3. Regardless I'm going to enjoy and love the film as any devout Star Wars fan will. |

Can you tell me what they're supposed to be comparing in these pics?
http://theforce.net/episode3/newspic...comparison.jpg If it's hair, then shouldn't they have used the Luke hairdo from Ep. IV? http://www.starwars.com/databank/cha...g/movie_bg.jpg It looks a little more wild and wavy and it looks more like the new Anakin hairdo than Ep. VI's does. Anyway, the pics look great to me, and even though the first two Episodes weren't as good as the original trilogy, I still enjoyed them and I'm looking forward to III. Thank you Mr.Deflock, for once again enhancing my TFP experience. |
He looks a lot like he could be related to Uma Thurman.
I'd hit it. |
this is Lucas' last chance to redeem himself... he'd better not fuck it up.
|
now THAT is a promising photo!

God I hate that actor. The last film was a joke. Can't even bear to watch it for free these days...
|
The only thing that will make Ep 3 good will be if Lucas doesn't direct or write it...
I am afaid that regardless of how cool Anakin looks the film is still going to blow... |

Isn't that Brendan Frasier? ;)
Anyway, you couldn't pay me to go to Episode III. EpI was a waste of time, and I couldn't find the energy to make it to EpII. |
I sense the dark side in him... very cool. Though I was kinda of hoping for a look closer to that of Anakin at the end of Ep. VI when he's glowing and stuff, a little older and such. Oh well, he still looks very cool.
|
interesting to see 3p0 in gold... will he lose his leg since in the OT his lower leg is silver not gold?
|
Bah... I know I have free tickets the night before it opens nationally and I also know I won't see it...
The new Star Wars are the most terrible let down. |
cant wait guys
|
It looks like someone is trying to bring back the early 80's look.

I think he looks pretty cool. I really hope that Episode three is good.
|
He looks like he should be playing guitar for a bad 80's hair-band.
I'm not impressed. |
|
Looks better than that stupid tail shit he had in Attack of the Clones.

If Hayden Christensen had any sense of dignity, he would return every cent he got paid for being in that movie, 'cause - believe me - he stole that paycheck. And somebody needs to tell George Lucas that having special effects as the sole redeeming value of a movie worked in the 80s only because he was the only one doing them. Now he is one of many. |
I remember when I heard that Hayden Christensen got the role of Anikan I had just finished watching Life as a House, and thought he did a decent job. He was good in The Virgin Suicides as well.
Then, I watched Episode II... If I could have invented a device that allowed an audience to reach through the screen and punch him in the throat, I'd have made a fortune. I'm still not convinced that Lucas didn't think it made a great joke by having a cardboard cutout of Hayden Christensen play Anakin... Ha ha, very funny George... |
I don't blame Hayden's acting ability, I blame Lucas' controlling ability. I doubt he's saying "Ok that take was good, but now, more anger," and then "getting better but still, anger, and remember that your only relative was tortured to death".
Like I said before, Lucas has been made aware of this by the fans and McCallum and he's said that he's giving the actors space to breathe. I still very much enjoyed Ep1 and 2, and am thoroughly looking forward to Ep3. |
Well these shots certianly show some potential. I'm more excited about he third film now than I was before. Lets hope it actually turns out to be good! :)
|
I look forward to the LAST movie, regardless of how many screw ups were in the last two, but OMFG Hayden does look like Uma's long lost brother.
|
*Crosses Fingers* Please, let this be a good one, PLEASE!!!!! There needs to be at least ONE good prequel! They can't all suck can they??? Can they????

What do you mean it's hard to act in front of a blue screen?!? How do you explain that brilliant piece of acting Harry Hamlin did in Clash of the Titans?!?
Oh, wait... ;) |
ya he looks pretty badass...better than the first two that is. Does anyone know if all the jedis get killed in episode 3? cause that could make for one badass fight sceen
|
It'll suck just like the last two no matter how long he grows his hair!!

I hope Episode III has a decent lightsaber duel.
Seeing Yoda fight in Episode II was neat, but it made people laugh. Epsiode I's Darth Maul made people say "cool". Maybe I'm just tired. |
^No, i agree totally
|
I'm looking forwrd to Episode 3, and Anakin looks a lot better that way.
|
There is a picture of R2-D2 on the set if you click on the link for the other pictures. I read somewhere that R2-D2 was going to be rendered for the entire film, and the guy who is usually inside R2-D2 won't be around at all. Yet, there is the model of R2-D2 on set. Anyone else read about this?

Man, Darth Maul and his fucking lightsaber was incredible in Episode I. People look at Jar-Jar and a few bad acting jobs and relate it to the overall aspect of Episode I. It wasn't as bad as people say. I liked it, even though I hate the bad parts as bad as the next crazed fan. Jar-Jar was fuckin stupid and Anakin was a VERY bad actor. Other than that, Episode I was a good movie.
Episode II sucked. Blah. I can't really say anything else than that. The Yoda scene was stupid as hell, even though it had good theater effect (it seems way cooler in theater than when you see it at home). Duel of the Fates, the Darth Maul theme in Episode I, was another factor that made Episode I simply better than the second one. If John Williams can compose a piece as intriguing as Duel of the Fates and Lucas can get a screenplay worth a shit, Episode III might have a chance. -Lasereth |

Everybody griping that Hayden can't act should all just shut up since he was a hundred times better than Jake Lloyd. |

Veritas en Lux! Jimmy The Hutt |
hey is that the same actor?

LOOK!
It's Leif Garrett. He's making a comeback. |
It's more Peter Frampton but hey.

|
Funny, I wanted to slap Padme around...probably for different reasons, though.
;) |

But - I agree - he did a pretty good job in <i>Life as a House</i> |

/mini-rant on Some of my complaints in compairing episodes 4-6 with 1-2. 4-6 = Low budget made the sets plain, letting the focus be on the characters and not the shiny cg robots. Poor, deserted places like Mos Isely (forgive my spelling) were actually poor deserted places and not jawa carnivals. 4-6 = There were actually different alien languages made for each species as opposed to 1-2 which have stereotypical earth accents to give the different species degrading rasict connotations. 4-6 = The movies have a story to tell, and are not just huge advertisements for pc games. 1-2 = Fantastic cg special effects, which still can't compare to the plain models used in 4-6 for adding realism. This is why LotR series comes off so much better. They used models for as much as possible. /mini-rant pause |
