I liked Happy Gilmore. Everything else is tolerable at best.

NO WAY, some of his songs are funny as hell (yes some are stoopid though too). The one in the wedding singer that he wrote half while going out with his girlfriend and the other half after they broke up had me rolling.

Punch Drunk Love was fantastic. Everything else he's done is pure kindergarten playground recess material.

He reminds me of the cousin I had growing up who made annoying sounds and faces, but I couldn't run fast enough to catch him and beat his ass.

I like his SNL stuff, not too crasy about his movies.
However, my friends and I almost died laughing during Mr. Deeds when Adam was throwing the cats out the window.

His early work was great. Since then however the creativity well has run dry and he keeps putting out the same crap over and over, or producing shitty crap.

I think he's pretty damn funny, yay here.

I loved Punch Drunk Love and I have only seen one Adam Sandler movie I didnt like and it was called Overboard.

Some of his stuff I quite enjoy, but most of it I don't. Some of his audio skits are pretty hilarious though.

Gotta agree. I Really enjoyed happy gilmore and waterboy but didn't care to much for wedding singer or mr. deeds. I liked most of his skits on SNL though.

I happen to think he is damn funny, when u watch one of his movies you dont care about the plot and you know it will never win an oscar or anything but its freakin funny. Even the crap movies like little nicky were funny. Punch Drunk Love was a good movie too, but any actor could have pulled that role off. No one could pull off the Waterboy or Happy Gilmore like sandler. There is a reason why Sandler is the highest paid actor in hollywood...

He's the poster boy for lowest-common denominator comedy. Ass jokes seem to still be popular with the movie-going public, it seems.

I used to watch him on SNL, and wonder how someone with this little talent made it so far. That's not to say he's never made me laugh, but it's the kind of laugh you hate yourself for later.

Now now! You can't take away THIS lofty accolade from the master of non-comedy: Tom Green.

happy gilmore/waterboy were good movies for the once over, snl skits are generally good. he showed actual acting talent with PDL, was able to use his irrational anger bit with actual depth and reasoning behind it. all the other crap hes come out with in the last 8 years aside from the two afforementioned films dont even warrant mention. ill go with nay, though id like to see him in more straight roles, PDL was stimulating to say the least :p inspiring for someone in the throws of depression (which was the state i found myself in when i first saw it).

never thought too much of him, but wedding singer was alright, punch drunk love played to his strengths; playing anger. hes good at anger and seems to be angry in all his movies. i think he might need a good therapist.

I loved him in Happy Gilmore, Wedding Singer and Airheads. I hated him in everything else. He is one of those people you either love or hate. There is no inbetween.

Anyone fans of any of his CDs? I just downloaded "They're All Gonna Laugh at You!" recently (I used to own it, but I'll be damned if I've seen it in like 8 years), and there is some really funny stuff on it.

To anyone that's knocked his singing, check out Medium Pace from that album. You'll never think of shampoo bottles in the same way ever again....

I don't find Adam Sandler all that funny, sure he had his moments on SNL, but he can't act for shit. The only movie I've actually enjoyed he was in, was Big Daddy.

basically all the movies have the same type of humour, and i can see how it gets played out for some people, but big daddy is much of the same humour as happy gilmore or billy madison

example... when his dad and carl and eric are in the pool room talking about billy madison taking over madison hotels, and his dad says... "oh billy boy.. when are you going to find whatever it is you're looking for".. next scene cuts to billy madison saying.. "here's a nice piece of shit".. as sandler puts a piece of shit into a bag

and the fact that so many things are just so random.. makes the whole movie funny

also.. toll booth willy is the greatest, along with a lot of his stuff from his cd's.. never really watched saturday night live though.. so i don't know what his humour was like then
