Confidence, Anger Management, X2, Identity, A Man Apart were all great movies for the people in them. Edward Burns was rather impressive in Confidence. Anger Management was more of a show-stealer for Jack Nicholson with his antics and eccentricities. X2 - I'm a big time Xmen junkie, and it was done decently. Identity - GREAT twist in the movie, but predictable ending. A Man Apart was Vin Diesel's strongest role as an actor yet, providing more emotion and ability than any previous movie. Granted, he's an actor that is type-cast in damn near all the movies, but it was the most solid acting job I've seen in a long time from him. Equilibrium is always a great one, watched that again a few days ago along with The Boondock Saints. Super Troopers is absolutely hysterical if you're piss-drunk and not looking for refined entertainment.

I'm just gonna go over the movies I've seen in theatres recently, beginning about a month ago.
X2 - Damn good, I was expecting it to be OK, but I was pleasantly surprised. Bruce Almighty - Yeah, it was funny, but I was still disappointed, because I was looking for Jim Carreys triumphant return to comedy. The Matrix: Reloaded - Fuckin' amazing in retrospect, but I was still kind of let down, but only because I had such INCREDIBLY high expectations, and in some scenes I felt the filmmakers were trying a bit too hard. 2 Fast 2 Furious - Incredibly stupid, but if you switch your brain off, its really entertaining. |
