I didn't see anyone list Saved by the Bell! I mean come on, that show's a classic. Granted after The College Years it really went downhill, but the classic episodes with Zach, Kelly, Jessy, Screech, Slater, Lisa, and Mr. Belding will always be remembered.

King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table (the one about the high school kids. Gwenevere was a hotty, as i recall)

And, if anyone can remember, at 2:00 in the afternoon, there was this rad show about a teenager and his kid sister who build these robots and they live in this awesome underground house and they fight the sinister robotics corporation that has taken over the earth...i don't recall the name anymore...

my friends and i talked about this awhile ago, there are so many i'm forgetting.

oh yeah
The old Peter Pan and the Pirates cartoon. God, that ruled. Tim Curry even did the voice of Hook.

i've heard of this mysterious "noggin"... unfortunately, my apartment complex is part of the university, and therefore runs on the university cable system, hence, no noggin.

i have seen a lot of auctions on ebay for VCDs (or DVCs or VQX or some kind of initials) of the whole show... every single episode. i might have to invest some day.

more shows: hey dude, blossom, step by step, full house, family matters, perfect strangers (balki goes to the gym by my house, i've seen him there. for serious), hey arnold, fifteen, tattooed teenage alien fighters from beverly hills, USA High, zoobilyzoo.

oh, and there was this movie my sister and i used to rent on beta max all of the time - only like 30 minutes long, kind of like a kids show. it was called 'in search of the WowWowWibbleWobbleWozzieWoodleWoo.'

i am on a continuing quest to find someone else who has seen this.

Man you guys all have cartoons. i liked cartoons but I'd wake up early just to watch shows like Perfect Strangers, Three's Company, Punky Brewster, Mr. Belevdiere, Small Wonder....

Then of course things like Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers etc etc.

Poor little limey had no cable as a child so no Nick shows.

Lived in Houston area and got Benny Hill on at 10:30PM. Could not let my mom know I was watching it. Occasionally saw boobies and it would be the talk of the day next day in Middle shcool.

Animated/Saturday - Scooby Doo, land of the lost, lost in space, any of the Hanna Barbara (space ghost).

Magnum PI, Simon & Simon, Dukes of Hazzard, Starsky & Hutch, Vegas - never missed an episode.

Old School Cartoons

I saw a thread that mentioned "Transformer" in the title, and it got me thinking...

It has been ages since I saw some of my favorite cartoons from when I was a wee lad. I mean, we are talking about classics here:

Transformers (not the stupid Go Bot ripoff)
Voltron
The Mon Chi Chi's (sp?)
Hong Kong Fuey

I know there are tons more out there...

What was your favorite cartoon?

There were tons that I loved, but I've seen some of them again in recent years, and it ruined everything... I used to be the biggest little Voltron geek- I even had my mother make me a Halloween costume and GOD, how I wish I had a picture- but I watched it when it ran again on CN, and was appalled. The memory is what's important, though, and I won't sully it with needless details.

There was also Silverhawks (Like Thundercats! Only in space, with sweet bird-armor!), GI Joe (my cousin and I used to watch it with all our action figures spread out on the floor), and TMNT (ditto, a few years later). I never really got into Transformers... not because I didn't like it, but it used to come on while I was still at school.

My sister used to be heavy into Saved by the Bell and Family Matters... I always found somewhere else to be when they were on.
