Falling Skies on TNT
Today is the first I've heard of this. The two-hour pilot aired last Sunday to over 5 million viewers, which is huge, and the reviews have been generally favourable. It's basically a survival sci-fi kind of in the same vein as Walking Dead, except with aliens instead of zombies. I'm game. Now I'm just wondering if we get TNT stuff through Rogers. Has anyone else checked this out? Anyone else want to? Falling Skies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Since there are still people that haven't seen it I won't go into details. I'll just say that I wasn't impressed. I found it kind of boring. I've seen it before and I've seen it done better.
And.. I hate History professor know-it-all characters that find some way to relate every situation with some historical event.

Ah, the filter of viewer opinion.
Maybe it's not worth it after all. Which is fine, because I'd only be able to watch it by ill-gotten means. It's coming to Super Channel in Canada in July, but we don't have that subscription.

he pilot is still sitting on my DVR unwatched, should get to it in the 'next day or two'. All I 'know' is some brief teaser glimpses of some aliens that looked right out of the Alien film series and will keep it that way for now. Should make a good blog entry at least.

I think it's not bad. It doesn't rock my world or anything. But I thought it was watchable.
