1 of the few series of books that have actually kept my attention.

great plot, great writer, and all round just really good!

They're simple books of course (meant for a young audience) but surprisingly good for adults too. I've read the vampire ones as well as the demonata (spelling?) ones. Never saw the movie, looked bad and didn't want to spoil the image in my head.
