It's based on the great Dark horse comic The Goon, a crazy paranormal story about a giant bruiser and his adventures dealing with all sorts of crazy nasties, most notably the Unnamed Zombie Priest. He and his friend Franky end up in all sorts of wacky scenarios. Gods only know what storyline Eric Powell (the creator) went with for this movie...but I'm gonna bet it wasn't the Satan's Sodomy Baby one.
