This is what a "snit" sounds like

LOL. Is it any wonder that the theater community is largely regarded as chablis-sipping prigs? You can practically hear the indignant *sniff* of snubbed self-importance. |

It was a bit "dickish." It doesn't matter if it was the Tony Awards as attended by self-important Chablis-sipping prigs or if it was a community award for donating the most books to the local schools—the media is going to want to talk to you. Zeta-Jones and Johansson know this more as much as anybody. I'm guessing there was something behind their decisions to show up and keep it brief. Either a) there was some backroom or theatre-community politics going on that they wanted to either avoid or send a message about, or b) they had somewhere else they had to or would rather be. Either way, it's pretty lame what they did. They're celebrities. They're supposed to be in contact with the public; it's a part of their careers. However, when you come to think about it: if you consider the talent, success, and pure hawtness quotient of both of these ladies, they can pretty much do whatever the fuck they want. They know this more than anybody by now.
