Disney's "A Christmas Carol," starring Jim Carrey
 

Okay, at first glance, it looks like Disney may have a winner here. I think this is the first retelling of Dickens' classic that I've wanted to see in a while.

And to think it's non-Pixar....

Check it out.



I think I'll go see it to kick off my holiday season.

Saw the preview yesterday when I went to see Up.
Definitly something I'll be going back for.

Looks good except the "Ghost of Xmas Past". Seems they spent time on everything else.

Some aspects of my holidays I prefer Traditional. A Christmas Carol and Nutcracker in original form make my season bright.
Scrooge with Alastair Sim or A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott preferred.
Modifications/ modernizations I enjoy are Black Adder's and Scrooged.

I remain undecided about seeing this new movie. It may be a bit more slapstick than I prefer.

Two words: Uncanny Valley. Getting closer to exiting it, but still in it.

(I'm off to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs instead.)
