25 Famous Fictional Redheads
Feel free to add some more FICTIONAL redheads, or deliberate my order of greatness. The #1 spot on my list, though, is NOT negotiable.
25) Ariel - In Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” she is the daughter of King Triton who trades her voice for legs so that she can fall in love with the human prince Eric. The movie is loosely based on the story of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen. 24) Wilma and Pebbles Flintstone - In the caveman sitcom cartoon “The Flintstones,” largely stolen from “The Honeymooners,” Wilma is Fred’s wife and Pebbles is their darling baby daughter. Pebbles eventually grew up to become a smokin’ hot redheaded woman, married Bamm-Bamm, and eventually gave birth to twins Chip and Roxy. 23) Hagar the Horrible - Viking cartoon strip character by Dik Browne, which is supposedly based on Ibsen’s “The Vikings at Helgeland.” Many of the other characters in “Hagar” are also redheaded as well. 22) Yosemite Sam - Looney Tunes cartoon character, vocalized by the brilliant Mel Blanc, and who is one of Bugs Bunny’s many foils. Sam frequently has different names, depending on his location. He was first introduced in 1945 and was envisioned and created as a tougher adversary for Bugs Bunny than Elmer Fudd. 21) Shaggy and Daphne - In the cartoon “Scooby Doo,” Shaggy Rogers (originally voiced by Casey Kasem) and Daphne Ann Blake (many voices) were part of the team of teen paranormal investigators working out of the psychedelic Mystery Machine. According to legend, Daphne hugged Shaggy in one episode, but never her boyfriend Fred. 20) Dil Pickles and Chuckie Finster – Two of the characters in the Nickelodeon cartoon series “The Rugrats.” Chuckie was one of the main characters from the series’ inception, and Dil is the younger brother of Chuckie’s best friend Tommy. 19) Howdy Doody and Clarabell - Howdy was the puppet and Clarabell (played by Bob Keeshan, aka Captain Kangaroo) was the red-haired clown on the "Howdy Doody" American TV show of the 1950’s. Co-host Buffalo Bob Smith was the original voice for Howdy, and Clarabell was originally portrayed by Bob Keeshan, who would become more famous as Captain Kangaroo. 18) Archie Andrews - Comic book character created by Bob Montana, and surrounded by his friends Jughead, Betty, Veronica, and Reggie at good old Riverdale High. Archie will finally pop the question to one of his girlfriends in late 2009, and it is rumored to be the wealthy Veronica. 17) Ginger - Voiced by Julia Sawalha, Ginger was the chicken in the 2000 animated movie “Chicken Run” who tries to convince the other chickens that they should fly out of the coop before the farmers make pies out of them. 16) Little Orphan Annie - The main character in Harold Gray’s comic strip about a little orphan girl and her dog Sandy during the Great Depression. She was originally introduced in 1924, and had no eye pupils. She was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Warbucks, a wealthy childless couple, and immediately called her new father “Daddy.” Annie is still being syndicated today, being drawn now by Ted Slampyak. 15) The Harkonnens (Vladimir, Feyd Rautha, and Rabban) – One of the great families in Frank Herbert’s “Dune.” Based on their home planet of Geidi Prime and controlling the spice-rich desert planet of Arrakis, the Harkonnens were the sworn enemies of House Atreides. Baron Vladimir Harkonnen was too fat to walk, and had to be supported by anti-gravity suspensors. Beast Rabban was the Baron’s bad nephew, who was chosen to squeeze and crush the spirits of the Fremen on Arrakis, so that they would welcome and worship the arrival of his younger brother, the immensely cruel Feyd-Rautha. 14) Pippi Longstocking – The title character from Astrid Lindgren’s series of stories about an extremely strong and assertive young girl. 13) Anne of Green Gables – Lucy Maud Montgomery’s timeless story about a young couple who were mistakenly sent an orphan girl, Anne Shirley, instead of a boy, but decided to keep her anyway. 12) Raggedy Ann and Andy – Sister and brother rag dolls that were featured in a series of stories by Johnny Gruelle. Eventually, the popularity of the stories led to the creation of actual dolls by those names. 11) Bozo the Clown – Created in the 1940’s as a promotional reading tutor, Bozo gained widespread popularity in the 1950’s with the addition of real-life actors allowing Bozo to make public appearances. 10) Rhubarb the Cat – Rhubarb was a fictional cat in the 1951 move “Rhubarb,” about a cat that inherits a baseball team. The actual cat to portray Rhubarb, a feline named Orangey, also appeared as the cat in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” 9) Maude Flanders – In “The Simpsons,” Maude was the wife of Ted and the pious mother of Rod and Todd. Unfortunately, she was killed by a t-shirt cannon at the Springfield Speedway. 8) Little Red-Haired Girl – In Charles Schultz’s comic strip “Peanuts,” she was the unrequited object of Charlie Brown’s halting desires. 7) Lara Croft – Heroine of the popular Tomb Raider video game series, Lara is wealthy, intelligent, athletic, and reckless. And oh yeah, she’s HOT! 6) Woody Woodpecker – Walter Lantz’s screwball cartoon character (voiced originally by Mel Blanc) with the distinctive laugh (guess who?). 5) Bernard Mickey Wrangle and Princess Leigh-Cheri – The main characters in Tom Robbins’ bizarre novel “Still Life with Woodpecker.” Bernard is the infamous bomber known as the Woodpecker due to his fiery red hair and Leigh-Cheri is the object of his affection, leaving us all to wonder, “Whatever happened to the golden ball?” 4) Ronald McDonald - If not the most famous redhead, then certainly the wealthiest. Ronald knows how to say “Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.” 3) The Weasleys – All seven of the Weasley children in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series have flaming red hair and freckles. They are one of the few pure blood wizard families, but they are known for associating with mudbloods. 2) Kris Kringle – Everyone knows that before he became the legendary Santa Claus and his hair and beard went all white, Kris Kringle’s hair was originally red. Ho ho ho. 1) Jessica Rabbit - In “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?,” Jessica (voiced by Kathleen Turner) was the voluptuous wife of Roger Rabbit. She was a sultry lounge singer and one of the suspects in the framing of her husband. Without stepping into Hentai porn, there is perhaps no sexier cartoon character anywhere. “I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way.”

Jessica Rabbit.... She's not bad, she's just drawn that way.
How about a lesser known cartoon red head hottie, Red Hot Riding Hood? It would appear that Slick Wolf enjoys the eyeful he's getting.

First one I thought of and she isn't on your list.
Mary Jane Watson. also Jean Grey then again I'm a comic geek so it's not surprising that I'd think of these two first.

Jane Jetson? Surely she's up there with Wilma Flintstone.
Alfred E. Neuman? Oh man, I loved Pippi Longstocking as a kid. Being a redhead really makes you notice other redheads.

Woody fuckin’ Woodpecker? Seriously? Woody Woodpecker makes the list in which you blatantly omit the delectable Alyson Hannigan as Willow Rosenberg? Fortunately, for you, CinnimonGirl came in for the save with the first response.

That's hysterical!
And about Lara Croft, she just always looked redheaded to me - I didn't do any background checks on anybody, so maybe I fumbled that one.
