Damn, this REALLY irritates me...
 

Why is it that the UK gets all the DVDs before us? I'm a huge fan of Futurama and such (and they have all the way up to 3)... they get the theater movies late but the DVDs first? I HATE delayed gratification......

Why don't you pick up a region free DVD player?

i dunno... don't have much money... there aren't any differences are there between uk dvds and us dvds? I never read that there were... but... never know...

They might get the dvd's first, but i'd still rather live here....

I read somewhere the UK 24 dvd were different then US 24 dvd. I don't remember what though.

almost all DVD's are released in region 1 before the rest of the world.

That, and PAL is a sad joke, not to mention that the uk has to wait months longer for video games, if they get them at all.

yep region 1 is almost always first. if you don't like it, get a multiregion dvd player.

PAL owns NTSC.
And nearly all dvds get a US release first.
I mean some dvds get released there while they're only coming out in the cinema in Europe.
Futurama and Family Guy are further ahead here because I think they were more popular. Family Guy certainly was.
As for us not getting video games, well that's because games companies (namely Nintendo) seem to have dismissed Europe altogether. Which is stupid. We also get overcharged for games in comparrison to prices in the US dunno about Japan.
