Know why Lindsay Lohan's career sank?

'Cause she didn't have ugly enough co-stars.

LL is hot, but her co-stars have been hotter.

There was Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, when her co-star was this:

And that was followed by Mean Girls, where she co-starred with this trifecta:

The casting director done you wrong, LL. It's hard to be a sex symbol when your not even the hottest girl in your own movies.

She's a horrible actress, not particularly attractive, and by my understanding she's a complete mess. I don't think it was her costars.

She should've stopped acting after The Parent Trap.

I keep forgetting how hot Rachel McAdams is. I think it's because I've only seen her in two films (Mean Girls and Red Eye).

But I still maintain that Lohan can be sexy; she just needs to stop being so trashy. You can fix trashy, can't you?

Eh, those women really don't do it for me. The more tanned one is okay... the rest need a sandwich and less warpaint.

LL is extra sloppy and nobody likes extra sloppy... just regular-type.

You don't "fix" trashy, you "clean" it. In her case, you'd need a few gallons of hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol. And a loofa the size of a piano.

She'd probably also need honest to goodness detox, too. And a hobby.

Meh, I want a Hollywood Sloppyhobag steel cage medieval weapon deathmatch. Hilton, Lohan, Spears, Kanye West, Olsen twins, etc. Their lives are a big reality show... let's see if their internal organs look like Joe Average's.

When I think ideal for UNICEF, I don't think Lindsay Lohan. We need women and children for the continuation of our species.

As a Hayley Mills fan, I'm gonna say she shouldn't have even done THAT.

Watch. Slings and Arrows. Now.

I demand it. Paul Gross, Martha Burns, Susan Coyne, Mark McKinny, Rachel McAdams (first season), etc. My favorite television show of all time, all about Stratford (named New Burbage in the show). Amazing. Watch it.

Wasn't Rachael McAdams in that really GOOD movie called "The Notebook"?

Perhaps, but that's a very sexy sound.

I've followed Lindsay's career for a while now and seen most of her films. She's been lazy since coming of age (her fault) and made too many bad choices (agent's fault?). As a teenager, Freaky Friday showed her range, Mean Girls showed that she could be sympathetic in quite a glibly-written role and in Confessions... her acting is far better than anyone else, adult or child, in the movie.

Get a Clue, Herbie and Just My Luck were very bad... but would certainly have been even worse without Lindsay. (I Know Who Killed Me could not have been worse no matter what was done with it.)

As an adult, she continued to be cast in very light roles and consequently turn in very light performances (Just My Luck) - even when more gravity was required (Bobby). In Georgia Rule, my pick of her adult films, she was likeable playing a fairly dislikeable character - think of someone more bitchy or vampy in that role, or an inferior actor (Megan Fox fits all those) and you can't really see it working.

Though I'll concede that evidence seems to be piling up to the contrary, I don't like to think Lindsay's career is totally sunk. She's still relatively young and all she needs to do (aside from adopting a more professional attitude on the job, which should come with maturity) is get a better agent. Someone who can recognise her strengths and weaknesses and take care of her career - guide her and wisely influence her choices. For the time being, that agent should land her either half-decent leading comedy roles (Labor Pains may be that: time will tell), and/or character roles in respectable pictures that have a solid, mature cast.
